Any actress who kick-started the female-centric films trend?

No single person can take individual credit for the kind of films that are being made today. Everyone has worked equally hard, including me. This useless talk has to stop. Also, we have to understand that not all films with a strong female protagonist are women-centric. Queen, Mary Kom and NH10 were all women-centric films. Tanu Weds Manu Returns isn't. It is about Tanu who is a strong character, and it is also about Manu.

@green - this has to be the best answer. Glad at least someone is giving credit to equally important character.

OT : I loved her answer about women-centric films...She was spot on about it.. And Looking forward to her movie with Mehta... Good luck Kangana..

And Seriously, Y reporters keep asking everyone about y didn't u attend Deepika's party or Y Deepika didn't attend ur party?? 😕 Does this happen when movies of other actors release during the same period and become hit??

Deepika is so fake, and several industry people are exposing that every day ! she is super insecure, behind everyone she does nasty PR stuff then when she is in front of them and there is cameras she is all over them because she wants it to be caught on camera but when it's about supporting other's films she ignores totally, didn't give a damn about the screening of the film but attended the party like a damage control and because she knew there were more photographers at the party so she will get more attention there.

But It's really pathetic how Kangana is like I am so different than other actresses, my principals are so good, I don't do events, endorsements, dancing at award shows and weddings.

Well Kangana you sleep with married men, you had your sugar daddies who gave you work, you went for the easy route by doing masala films but they didn't work for you, you do endorsements !!

You don't perform at award shows and weddings because you can't dance and hence you awkward in front of a crowd where you have to dance, that's the reason why you avoid them !

So stop attacking other's when you are no better yourself.

AND KANGANA SAYS SHE DOESN'T DO EVENTS LMFAOOO ! if anyone does most amount of events then it is Kangana !!!! It's Kangana who we see every day in a new sari, dress, suit etc. at events !

A success party is the place to be! Why bother with screenings when you don't know if the film will be a hit or not? 😆

The way she went out of her way to say that sentence about her movie not being 'woman-centric' is the way in which Kangana is different from the rest of the lot right now. She has her moments of lunacy, but in between that, there's absolutely great stuff like this which comes out...props to her for keeping it real and not trying to categorize the product and result as all of her own doing. People can call her cocky all they want, but at least she's cocky about the things that she should be...not the one's that she has no right over.
