Aamir is a star of popular films!😆 Though I agree, that he is pretentious to his bone.

Popular stars get a lot of respect in India. Heck, people have built temples for Rajnikant. How much more can you respect a person and admire his success?

Even on IF, people keeps saying that they prefer actors over stars, but if that is the case, why aren't there blockbuster threads on the likes of Irfan and Nawazuddin? Why do people only care to discuss successful stars like Salman, Katrina, Deepika and SRK ect? Even their random tweets are discussed and dissected for pages!😆 Kangna is the flavor of the season cause she is on the verge of giving a 100 crore hit. Who cared about her till a year ago?

Talent gets its own due respect, but success matters more than anything else. On IF and outside IF. We might make fun of a Salman Khan and his mindless films, fact is that his films are the ones which brings in big money for bollywood, enabling producers to make smaller, more meaningful films. And that in itself is worthy of respect.

CE was airing in the morning and oh boy, this definitely has to be SRK's worst ever..Like EVERRR! even his performance in HNY was better than this..but CE was a massive torture, as far as his acting is concerned..how much I yearn to watch the effortless SRK of kabhi ha kabhi naa or DDLJ days or even DTPH, as far as ease in acting comic timing is concerned..it has just disappeared completely..however bad the project is, how can his inherent acting skills take a hit?😕

never cared for bhai, so least bothered what he does..

People can go on barking abt success and superstardom but times are definitely changing!

Films like Piku, Queen, Barfi and Kahaani are getting critical acclaim AND BO Success as well!

Quality is starting to get recognized at last!

Good actors are being appreciated, good movies are getting their just dues! Finally...👏

But some people still prefer to swallow garbage and beat their drums abt it as if its something to be proud of. Well, whatever floats their boat...🥱 If they want to contribute their money to patronize filth and garbage, then so be it.

Quality matters, quality lasts. Twenty years down the line everyone will remember a PK, 3 Idiots. No one will give a shit about CE, HNY or Kick.

As for entertainment, that is another joke. If nothing, people come up with this lame excuse to defend the crap their favourites do.

Wasnt PK entertaining?? Wasnt Barfi entertaining??

What about Haider, Ugly, Badlapur, NH10, TWMR etc??

There is a reason why BW is the worst industry when it comes giving great movies every year and is such a joke worldwide. Last year there were only what 6-7 movies that you could say were any good (from those that I saw). And there are two movies releasing every week.

ROI and WOM of PK, 3 Idiots, Queen,Barfi, Aashiqui 2 etc is among the highest post 2010. So much for masala crap being the only thing thats successful or the only thing that sells.

What may be garbage for you may not be the same for others ? Not a big fan of movies like HNY or Kick, but why the superiority complex for liking the supposedly "good cinema" over the supposedly garbage. Let people enjoy what tastes good to their taste buds. I liked Queen, Barfi but didn't enjoy Piku while enjoyed CE. So Piku is garbage for me while CE cinema 😆

May be if people just relied on likes and dislikes and moved onto the next movie than universally shoving down their tastes, the frustration may just die down. Just saying...
