I can understand the Kapoor frustration.

Earlier Raj Kapoor got to share top slot with Dev Anand and Dilip Kumar.

No Kapoor got recognised as good actor. Dilip Kumar was crowned Nat Samrat meanwhile.

Later Rajendra Kumar and Rajesh Khanna overtook their Shammis, Shashis.

Just when they thought Rishi Kapoor would reestablish dynasty rule, Amitabh Bachchan happened and Chintu ji was left to be chota bhai mannequin in his films.

Rishi has had it worse. Even got overshadowed by heroines and snakes in films.

And Khan anxiety is a given, considering how a nobody like SRK took all accolades for Deewana.

I think clashing with a Khan biggie was also part of that anxiety to beat them or dent their films.

It must have hurt when OSO crushed Saawariya.

Then 3I beating every other film in 2009, Dabangg beating any other film in 2010 - all those years when PR tried to project someone as "new king".

All these years, Khans have been giving successes while others stay in waiting line.

Now they keep saying Khans are finished, but it must have affected them when same Deepika gave bigger hit in CE with a Khan in same year.

Words like "hit" hurt because it implies audience watched them and the films were popular. Audience and popularity are something we currently are in dire need of.

Toh bura toh lagega na.

I can understand the hurt.

But I think RK can do better if this anxiety to beat or trash others or avenging past could be done away with.

Current reality is that women's films are hits while RK film is rejected by audience. Anushka has a 630 crore WW grosser with a Khan and a solo hit NH 10 on her own (which means films were watched by audience), but was brought down by the legend. Deal with it instead of yelping about seniors to assuage the hurt.

Even after so many explanations if you still feel Ranbir is superstar then it is just lowering the bar.

Hrithik also had more success than Ranbir ever did in first 7 years of career.

Few small successes don't make a superstar.

Amusing you talk of Sallu's whole career when it comes to flops but not hits.

Be happy that I just mentioned hits of Salman's 1st 7 years only. If I mentioned hits of entire career you would have to go back to "oh he is a newcomer, give him time" excuses.

Superstars have proven consistency and big hits. This is why this term was first coined.

Though fans can abuse this term as much as they like. 😆

to be fair, though, Bollyboy only said that Ranbir has not proven to be a draw

unless I missed something lol

Wait wait wait

Massy films are tasteless and vulgar ?????

GOW and Badlapur both had some pretty questionable scenes .

Also Piku which was a hit and a critical darling was all about using the bathroom . That's not vulgar and tasteless 😆 😆
