Okay not women centric, but a film where the actress had a performance oriented role, by far the hardest roles any actress has done, kangana was perfection !!!!

Maybe women centric is not the right word but I think what everyone is trying to say is that obviously Kangana is the only "star" in the movie, Madhavan has been down and out for years and has no real bankability. Don't think anyone has gone to the theatre to see "him"

Tanu Weds Manu Returns box office collection: Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan's film collects Rs 95 crore worldwide!

Now its just a matter of time before this Kangana starrer crosses the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide...

Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan's romantic comedy Tanu Weds Manu Returns is on its way to break few box office records. Directed by Aanand L Rai, this film hit the screens last Friday however it has already collected Rs 95.02 crore worldwide. Now that's a big figure, hai na? Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the the figures a while back. He wrote on the popular social networking site Twitter, "#TanuWedsManuReturns Overseas Week 1 closes at 25 cr. Total worldwide for Week 1 - 95 cr [70.02 cr India & 25 cr Overseas]. FABULOUS."

At the domestic turf, Kangana starrer has already recorded the highest first week collectionleaving behind Akshay Kumar's Gabbar Is Back. While Khiladi Kumar's action thriller raked in Rs 59.89 crore in first week, the sequel of Tanu Weds Manu has minted Rs 70.02 crore in the same amount of time which is indeed mighty impressive.

If Aanand L Rai's latest outing continues its golden run at the international box office then I am pretty sure Tanu Weds Manu Returns will end up becoming the highest overseas grosser this year

Kangana Ranaut and R. Madhavan starrer Tanu Weds Manu Returns has scored, yet again, excellently on its 8th Day too. The movie, as per early estimates, has managed rake in almost6.50 crores on its 2nd Friday at the Domestic Box Office.

Tanu Weds Manu Returns now stands at a nett India total of 76.50 crores at the Box Office. The movie has now beaten the collections of Deepika Padukone starrer Piku, which stood on 3rd Place, with 75 crores total, at Top 10 Highest Grossing Films of 2015.

Tanu Weds Manu Returns is now the 3rd Highest Grosser of 2015. And looking at its current pace, the film will surely beat Akshay Kumar's Gabbar Is Back, which made a lifetime business of86 crores nett at the Box Office.

Tanu Weds Manu Returns Heads For 25 Crore Second Weekend

Tanu Weds Manu Returns is heading for a 25 crore nett second weekend as it grossed around 6.25 crore nett on its second Friday. The drop from day one is just 25-30% and the drop from Thursday is less than 10%.

There have been only six films that have had a 25 crore nett or more weekend and if Tanu Weds Manu gets there it will be the seventh. The film is in the big league now competing with films like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Krrish 3 with its second weekend figures.

The film was holding strong on the weekdays but no major competition this week has give the film an extra lift, it will be different next week but still a 125 crore plus total is looking on the cards. It could even hit 130 crore nett.
