Watched it yesterday and loved it! I'll write a review later but the movie is simply the best of 2015 for me so far!

Just watched Piku
guys this is really best film of recent time
it made me smile and cry
no melodrama no item song..its the characters that stay with you
DP has grown too much as an actor..this is her best film
irfan has the best lines.loveable as a lover boy
AB sr is very good but the bengali accent was not needed
I can relate to the movie and im sure most of you will
everyone in the theatre was in smile when the movie ended
loved it totally

Any confirmation on the budget? I don't think it's 32 crore..Shoojit gave a few interviews on how him and his producers know how to maintain budget and not spend too much money etc.

agree what the hell they are thing to make the budget more than 50-60 cr its like they want to make the film flop and thats it

I saw the film. It was good albeit a bit slow. The film belonged to Deepika. She has come a long way performance wise. Her best performance so far. Big B and Irfan were good. The rest of the supporting cast like was apt.

***SOME SPOILERS***

Just watched it... There isn't any story as such, but just situations/moments in the life of this dysfunctional but endearing father-daughter pair. The movie has all moments built in; you are annoyed by the father, but admire him for some of his views about independence, you are embarrassed at some things he says, and also feel sorry for him at times. There aren't any words to describe Amitabh any more; everything has already been said... so I will just say: he played Bhaskor perfectly 👍🏼 I had a fear he would overshadow all the other characters, but I was proved wrong.

It was Deepkia's movie alright⭐️ She didnt look like a star, she didn't act like one. She was just a daughter, just what Piku was supposed to be. It's hard not to look at her and re-live some of my life's similar moments with my father . She played that role to a T.👏 Deepika was the quietest, but the strongest written role in the movie. Now I know why the movie was called Piku...😳

Irrfan played the perfect 'driver'. A catalyst stirring the pot of the stagnancy that was set in Bhaskar & Piku's life... His tips & tricks, especially with the picture of the intestine and theory of 'motion' was just so 😆 and honestly, i hadnt expected a lot from Deepika-Irrfan as a pair, but again, I was wrong. There is that understated chemistry and understanding between them that is refreshingly different from a traditional romance.

and at the end, I just wished the movie were a bit longer 😳 similar to the song they sang at the beginning of their journey. something along the lines of what if this road/journey would never end 😊

All the supporting cast were good too ... and even the smallest nuances in all the relationships were acted perfectly (be it Irrfan's mother & sister, or Piku's kaka, kaku)... and Mausami... she was so so good😃
