When he'll go to jail, he'll have lot of free time to retrospect about his films , acting, performance, maybe that will bring a change and once he comes out he'll do better films.

I think its extremely unfair to even compare Salman with Shahid & Ranbir..If you notice, most actors take up challenging roles at the beginning of their career..Atleast the ambitious ones..Because they want to prove a point & there is this drive to succeed and establish yourself..SRK himself took up quite a few challenging roles at the beginning of his career..Reason why he established himself in the first place..Salman too has done quite a few good films in the first decade of his career..But once they do achieve the super-stardom, either lethargy sets in ( cos anything they do works anyway) or they are too obsessed about maintaining their position/ status that all that matters to them is the BO numbers & they do whatever is needed to sustain their numero uno status..Exactly why SRK is doing Rohit Shetty & Farah Khan's films when he can literally have any director he wants 😆 And for Salman, doing the same kinda films has been working for him so he doesn't feel the need to do anything different..As simple as that..And i doubt he is ambitious/ the kind who is desperate to prove a point so he just doesn't give a damn 😆 Lets see what Ranbir or Shahid do 10 years later in case they manage to become as big as SRK or Salman..Will they still do Barfi & Haider or prefer doing a Chennai Express/ Ready instead? Only time will tell 😆

Salman is just not a strong enough performer and I think he knows it. He also knows what works for him and makes him lots of money and maintains his superstar status. Besides, I don't think he's in it out of some great passion or love for the art of acting or film making. He's in it because it's the easiest way for him to make crap load of money in the shortest amount of time. He probably believes in the philosophy if "if it ain't broken, don't fix it."

Why would he? He's having a dream run at the box office and like ^^^ IAmLuvBolly said "why fix what's not broken?"
