Srk starred in many TV Serials, when there was not even Internet so popular in India, no Huge Promotions, No plexes, no Social media to help promote, still with Deewana/Raju Ban gaya Gentleman, he got huge positive response which transformed & made DDLJ 1 of his biggest grosser.

Today all these TV Stars, enjoy so much advantages, still they don't score even a HIT.

SRK chose good movies/well known names for his debut. Deewana had him in supporting role but main lead was Rishi. He got good reviews for it and Deewana was a hit and there was no looking back. Then in Raju Ban Gaya Juhi Chawla was there which helped I think. She was popular those days after QSQT. But other TV stars who started with him didnt succeed.

I think in recent times only Sushant has been successful. But thats because he got lucky breaks with UTV and YRF. KSG or others were not lucky/good enough to be noticed by good PHs.

TV stars definitely have lots of advantages today...but BW has the same prejudice towards TV actors as they had during Arun Govil's times. They give chances to star kids but not TV stars.

Yes . Fauji was a very popular show in the 80's. SRK's character had become very popular among school girls. SRK was very much loved for his boyish charms.

According to KSG he loved the content of Alone. It was something he thought had never been shown before to Indian audiences. He's signing all his movies after he's loving their content. He feels his movies with their exceptionally good content & his extra ordinarily gifted director Kumar Mangat will be the pioneers to introduce new age cinema in front of the audience. Now if after watching the movie one of his obsessed fan call it crap he can't be blamed for it .
