What kind of promotions should they do? To me they look fine and as per whatever plans they have.

Half the marketing can be done through social media...which they are already doing...but then it reaches to the stars' fans only...other people will be unaware ...I really hope film is damn awesome...then only the no promotion formula will work...

Srk did so much promotion for dilwale...they were into every other daily soap...even in saath nibhaana saathiya...

I think they are already promoting and marketing the film. More heavy promotions and appearances will probably start in March.

I don't think promotions will make or break a movie anymore. Fitoor certainly was promoted well. In turn I don't think Airlift was promoted that heavily, not over a month away anyway. Besides, it's not like they are not going to promote the film at all 😆

I think it's because of budget constraints plus maybe they feel that max impact can be done in the last 2-3 weeks...

I think overall trend for promotions is changing this year. For one thing trailers are releasing not months in advance of the movie but rather only month and half in advance. And then songs are sometimes released even as late as a week or two before the release of the film. We'll see how it works in 2016. They might stick to it or they might change their plans by next year.

If they start in March, which I'm sure they will, 3 weeks is more than enough time to promote it and get the word and buzz going. Heck even two weeks can do the job. Once the movie gets good reviews, and hopefully with good music, the rest will take care of itself. Promoting something continuously for two months won't override bad content.
