She's right about the discrimination. If you've a godfather, good connections and a great fan following then things are different.

Maybe if you could act better you could have had a chance in BW Freida...
And why don't u use your natural look and tone in all the advertisements...
One success and she is bashing the industry that she was oh so desperate to get into...

Hollywood discriminates as well. Majority of 'successful' actors are probably still white. Neither is a perfect industry. Hollywood is more of a global platform whereas Bollywood is for a regional audience. I don't see the problem cause both industries have exceptions who go against the I'm too dark for this role.

Not really
Hollywood don't discriminate at all, there so many actors that BW won't even make background dancers that start in movies as leads in HW..
Their surprisingly great at that

Hollywood does have its own brand of discrimination. Many actors of color will attest to this, and have spoken about it publicly as well.

It's just a different type of discrimination--though colorism factors in there as well.

Freida Pinto is right in what she says, but she is not someone who's blessed with talent or screen presence either. Light or Dark, she doesn't have what it takes not even in Hollywood now. Plus she benefited from Hollywood's own brand of discrimination for a while.

Can you name someone who complain about not getting work for being dark, fat, ugly etc etc??
That's what I mean

And I'm sure they have their share of bad reputation that's why I said surprisingly

Although I do blv things do change for the better in HW unlike BW where there's no much progress

Hollywood does discriminate but Hollywood caters to the majority white audience so it's understandable if they use white privilege. However, Bollywood represents a race of brown people and they should use both darker and fairer girls equally which never happens. Dark women are always isolated cases in Bollywood. The existing dark women are whitewashed to the point of ridiculousness.

People are delusional if they think Bollywood and India doesn't discriminate. However, Freida is talentless so she needs to stop already. -_- It's not just your skin but also your lack of talent.
