by writing a 119 pages long consultation paper that most won't understand? Did they promote anything about this ? nope.Nobody would have even come to know about this if some people didn't start campaigning about it. Even now the buzz is low. They have asked consumers to write answers to twenty questions that most don't wanna do. I find it like thay have deliberately complicated things so that people avoid it. Of course I can be wrong. I hope I m because TRAI should always think about the general public first.

Internet has become a very important recource to Indians. It will be a huge set back if they put such expensive restrictions on it.

@Sindhu, Buzz is low now also. Many ppl still dont know abt this thing. And this airtel zero thing is crap. Airtel always have something to do like these stupid things. It totally does monoply in telecom sector. Trai shld control it, its illegal that aby telecom company increse rates for using apps now. And trai also is not awaring ppl with it and nor promoting it also.
Only it has said ppl to share their views with them and nothing else they have done to promote net neutrality.

Idea and Vodafone doesnt have that much of network that airtel has. Thats why ppl use airtel more and then complain abt its high prices. Ppl are stuck with airtel coz of its network only.
Aircel is cheapest in recharges in all telecom but its network is very poor.

I know about Aircel, but Idea and Vodafone have good coverage. Now I am talking about cities only.. have not really been through rural India, so I cant vouch for their network there.

Even itincreased uld 2G net from 199 to 255 per month.

That's exactly wat Vodafone charges for postpaid users
Its 250 for 1 GB of 3G data
Plus it adds caps..so if u have used up the allotted data, u cannot activate booster plans unless u use up the cap amount 1hich can be anything beyong 500 rs

When market is oligopoly in nature then there is no competition in pricing, simple these 2 to 3 players like airtel , vodafone, idea , tata etc. determine pricing of products unitedly. There is no variation on 3g usage charges among then. All are increasing at the same rate. So forget option , all of them charging for 1gb data @ 255 or 250. They are only fighting with each other in marketing and promotion field where as in terms of pricing they are one unit.

eg :pricing structure of vodafone 3g which is exactly a copy of airtel.

Regarding TRAI why it allowing these companies for zero neutrality in first place. They are just trying to open the door slowly in baby step through airtel where in future all of them shrewdly implement it with full fledged through proper marketing and promotion. Which ultimately leads consumer to their trap after not having any other option.

Nope even cities the interior Idea and Vodafone sucks thy have bad coverage the only good coverage is Airtel and that is why they are trying monopolising stuff because their network is fastes and half of people are on airtel network and it is their business interest
@Sindu it is all started because of Airtel and TRAI framed rules and consultancy paper to please Airtel , it was Airtel which initially thought of charging on Viber and after hue and cry decided to not but instead arm twisted TRAI to come up with a paper
