^ it's typical Indian mentality at work, Mrs Bhatt's little speech. It's so sad to see women destroy women. Don't blame your husband who ran away from your house & chose to live with another woman, but attack the woman to somehow, hypocritically, try to put yourself on some sort of moral high horse. I am not saying that, Sushmita is completely blameless. No. She is at fault too, but far, far less than the man who set up home & hearth with this lady.
The funny thing is people highlighting her education. In a country where Oxford /Harvard graduates enable the caste system & benefit from it, think not once & discriminate women, children in various ways, practice the dowry system, a woman, who is probably more intelligent than all of them put together, is being called out on her education or lack thereof when at the age of 18 she became the First Lady to win us the Miss Universe crown. LOL. I had rather be Sushmita than be So highly "educated" and not benefit from my Ivy League education.
As for Vikrm Bhatt, it was his responsibility to stay in a marriage. It was his choice to break it.

We are going on a tangent here but one of the reasons I hate hate hate the phrase home wrecker is its blatant misogyny. Yes the other woman is at fault but she's accountable to her own consciousness. It was NOT her who in front of God and family promised love and loyalty to the wife. It was the husband. This really ain't rocket science.

A philandering, drunkard, chain smoker woman who was neither stable in personal life or career, has not even studied beyond class 12, exudes woman empowerment.

Bollywood stars and fans redefine terms every day. 😆

👍🏼 Spot on! oh and also don't forget about her drug abuse ;) oh and Sush is a serial homewrecker as well! The entire world knows about her torrid affairs with married men like Vikram Bhatt and Anil Ambani. She was the prime reason why Vikram abandoned his wife and 1 year old daughter 🤢 and then later she started fooling around with Ambani Jr and that jerk was even contemplating on dumping Tina for his steady mistress but thankfully when Kokilaben Ambani got wind of his immoral plans, she intervened big time and managed to coerce her son to kick Sush to the curb.

Some of the comments in this thread highlight that women don't really have a choice at all. What is good for them, what will empower them is already decided.

If you are a woman, then follow the good girl plan. Do well in school and get highly educated. Get a prestigious job. Don't get distracted by boys and sex. Get married in time, have kids and then sacrifice everything for being a good wife and mother. Only then will you be free. Only then will you be empowered.

If you deviate from the route. If you choose to not do well, if your job is frivolous and dumb, if you have sex, if you drink, smoke, experiment with drugs, get piercings and tattoos, if you don't marry and remain true to your identity - then you have failed being a good Indian woman. You are a slave to bad influences. You will never be empowered.

Who cares if she became Miss Universe?

And what's big deal about a beauty contest? Only those fascinated by glamour make huge deal about a woman getting crowned in a beauty pageant.

Looking at her life and career, not many idolise her.

God knows how this unstable, smoker, druggie, alcoholic woman got legal permission to adopt kids.

A man with such habits wouldn't get permission to adopt girls.

Anyway, Sush made her choice. So be it. But choices have their consequences. So why smarting if someone calls out to her?

There's these little educated, simple women who started hospitals, groups for helping victims of domestic violence and whatnot, without any support from any quarter unlike this glam girl who lived off rich BFs. They are idols of women's empowerment. There are educated women like Chhavi Rajawat who is transforming her village and is first lady sarpanch of her village.

Such people are epitome of woman empowerment unlike these glam girls from entertainment industry.

And just who is she to call critics of the video as bandwagon brigade? Assuming her Bolly colleagues are right and others have no opinion of their own and simply followed the herd?

Some intelligent response it was! 🤢

Its true that the term home-wrecker is misogynistic but that doesn't change the fact that when a woman goes after another woman's partner/ husband ( especially when there are kids involved) knowing fully well that he is married/ committed, it reflects a lot about her character & the kind of person she is ( of course the guy is a douche for cheating on his wife, no denying that)..Has nothing to do with her gender here..And i don find such acts empowering/ progressive from any angle..So am not sure why Sushmita should be considered a woman of substance..Yes, she is articulate & talks sense but thats where it ends..

Such husbands are called philanderers. And many other adjectives that are used for Bolly men in gossip threads.

If the wife talked like this then it's her selfishness and not misogyny alone. She left her home, she's not working and earning, she's worried about kids, maybe she lacks courage to get divorced and start life afresh, that's why she's trying to blame the other woman.

Though I am amused at both such women. Reject such men. Better off without them. Let such douchebags rot alone.
