In all honesty, I feel like some of you guys are being way way too harsh on Deepika. Yeah, she's absolutely no saint. But whatever she has been doing is for a positive cause. Sure, maybe the way she's approaching things is not in the proper manner. But she's trying to make a difference - even if it is to one person only. You have to really understand the deeper meaning behind all of this. And to even think she would make up her whole depression thing is just stooping to a whole new level, in my opinion. I know with celebrities, its hard to believe when they try to do something good. Because sometimes they have to put on the 'good face' in front of the camera to make their image stronger. Controversy is always going to be there no matter what. Because people tend to see these celebs as celebs first and then humans. When it really should be humans first and then celebs. They were all born just like each and every one of us. True that cinema can change many faces. Some take stardom above their heads while others are able to maintain their personality well even after becoming a huge star. I just look at it this way - she's doing something for the betterment. Its the fact that she is 'trying' that really matters. She's not perfect. And neither will change happen. But its the initiative. Negative and positive reactions will always be there no matter what. But some comments are just a bit too harsh. Some of you are even acting as if you know her personally, in and out. Whatever media tells you must be a fact. Oh well, I guess.

Before lecturing us you should maybe take a look at your own actions.

Yes we do question all her publicity attempts just like you question Salman's acts be it for his foundation or his messiah talks of how he took blame for his driver etc.

SO WE ALL including you question all these celebrities for various stuff so no need to start this whole we are all so evil to question her etc.

Why're you all so jealous of her? She was number 1 in 2013, 2014, and 2015 probably.

There is no deeper meaning in anything a star does and then rants about it on national news channels. It is all publicity.
Milking causes is better than any other gimmick because it gets people to think maybe the star is trying or doing something good.

Ever since people saw Aamir's success with this model they started following this. Otherwise they would keep charity and causes, a private matter. They know little or nothing, just hop from one cause to another. It is assured, unprecedented publicity and they can always get to play victim if they get criticised (especially if they are women or belong to minority communities). It's eventually win-win for them whether their move clicks or backfires.

Timing of this video on heels of depression one has been a disaster. It just promoted stereotypes. Glean the comments to know what I mean. She's actually harmed causes of women and mental health.

No I do not feel empowered seeing or following a bollywood celeb. And its not because I dislike DeepikaPadukone , but I feel this concept of celebrities empowering womanhood is a false claim and have no relevance to the core issue. I would rather work hard to empower myself with all the obstacles thrown at me and try to be myself rather than aping celebs. I have my mibdset to deal with it.

The amount of hate and disrespect you are showing to a WOMAN THAT IS KATRINA, is too much.

Deepika was not married so how can Katrina destroy her home. For some actress you have forgotten the level of decency to other women.

the comment about the broken home was sarcastic about a comment made that deepika wished plastic on twitter even though she had broken her home

and gosh pardon my hate for plastic and bravo for your love for deepika

Likely that other actress is actually living out #MyChoice life. Let her be if you support the Vogue video. If you question her actions, then someone like myself can definitely question the video. Fair enough, no?

It is shameful to lie about your father, and to use religion as a pr stunt.
