It is about the video.

Otherwise one couldn't care less about what an actress is up to.

Everything is not always about love or hate for the star. It is also about what the star did or said.

If a message is accepted, the person gets "Bow down to her" type threads for her. If not, then criticism is a given. You can't expect praise all the time.

Deepika was also the one who was oh-so upset abt her ex-bf cheating on her but "sex outside of marriage" is fine for her like W*F? Do they even think before saying sth? Or they just hv to utter whatsoever been told to em?🤔

When you hv decided to be a part of such campaign which supposedly highlights such big issue, at least be responsible. Don't just say anything in name of "Women Empowerment". You're forcing people to doubt your intentions. And the video did nothing for women empowerment, instead gives a bad name to the people who actually work for the cause. Sad!

deepika was not guffawing at the aib event, she was laughing sheepishly. and regardless if she wants to laugh at dirty jokes vs have sex without being married that is her choice. Just the back lash against deepika proves what women face in India and the hypocrisy of bollywood fans. why is the backlash against deepika a woman so much more than the backlash against the people making the dirty jokes, arjun, ranveer, kjo, rajeev masand. or the director homi. what does ranveer get, oh he is such a cute hyper man, we love him. oh we love kjo and his pervie expressions,. 🤔

Well Deepika should just stop indulging in social causes as whatever she does, will come across as hypocrisy because of the image she has!!

One moment she'll be objectifying herself and the next moment she will use women card to get sympathy.

She will talk about women empowerment and laugh at jokes in which women are insulted!

She will promote sex outside marriage and the next moment she'll crib about how she was cheated on ! 🤔

She herself gives people opportunities to laugh at her!

BTW She's too much exposed! At this rate, people will get bored of her!

There are social problems in all strata of society. Social movements need to address all levels. Rape, abuse, discrimination, harassment, misogyny do not see income levels, they can happen to anyone no matter how rich or poor. Empowerment should never become an issue about class.

Choices can be good or bad, smart or stupid. Choices will have consequences. We as a society cannot say these choices are stupid or bad, no one should have them. Empowerment is respecting that humans have free will. Giving both men and women equal freedom of choice to do what they wish with their lives and bodies. No double standards.
