ALso, I heard both Amir and Deepika have the same PR who try to build their image as actors who do social work. hmmm...this makes me want to take back what I said about Amir. I think he's just too intelligent and knows how to not get into trouble like Deepika.

It is impossible for someone here to say one does not have genuine interest at all, unless of course you are a mind reader. But I'd like to be optimistic here and say everyone who supports such causes, somewhere deep down, do feel for the underprivileged and the downtrodden.

Even if some do it just to polish their image, I am happy with it. As long as someone underprivileged out there is getting the help he needs, I am happy about it and respect the celeb for the same.

Most sensible post I have read. Thank you. I think most everyone tends to forget that though they are public figures, they are first and foremost human beings. Even if they make a difference in one or two lives that's a great achievement. Sure, some do it for publicity or to make their image better...but like you said if its for a good cause and it actually helps someone, then so be it. Who cares? The most important thing out of this is that someone is getting the help that they need and I respect the celebs for that. Kudos to your post.

those who have voted it's nothing but publicity. Really? Um Ok.

Today if I have money and I do charity work. No one will know. It's all genuine. Why? Because I'm not a celeb.

But if I was a Celeb, it would be nothing but publicity?

He became wiser after each controversy. Especially learnt a lot from Narmada Bachao Andolan. Since then he attaches himself to safe causes.

His team maps all responses to SMJ. He himself showed it on TV. They then use feedback to revise his future strategies.

If you notice, his films didn't succeed to this extent as they do now, before 2008. The process he began in 2006, started paying off from 2008 onwards. He has such an image now that people try to look for something deeper or some quality even in his old 90s films.

He admits he surfs online to gauge responses on him, reads comments and knows what's said about him.

Deepika is new to this game. I am sure she will learn the ropes soon.
