Ranbir and I watch Tom and Jerry: Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif has come a long way to become India's most glamourous and sought-after star. Her being private can get mistaken for her arrogance, but in reality, she is an extremely sensitive, emotional and caring person. A lot has been written about her relationship with Ranbir and their decision of moving in together. The actress for the first time opens her heart to us about the relationship. Excerpts from a conversation with her just after she returned from London where she launched her wax statue at the Madame Tussauds, London.
Katrina first of all congratulations on getting a wax statue at Madame Tussauds, it must be a very proud moment?
Thank you so much. Yes it's a very proud moment for me. I am very happy to get my own statue and feel blessed to get this honor. Madame Tussauds is known worldwide and my wax statue is in London and that makes it even more special because my mom is from there and some of my family lives there. Some of my family members were also present there with me and that truly made it more memorable.
You have never opened up about your relationship with Ranbir Kapoor. Don't you think you should now talk about it?
Ranbir is a fantastic actor, he is very talented. He is a lovely co-star and a great friend of mine. I have done 2 films with him and I am currently shooting for another film with him.
You guys have moved in together. That clearly proves you are in a relationship with him so isn't it time to confirm it?
Just because we live in same apartment does not mean we in a relationship. Ranbir and I share very similar interests. We both love food and Carton Network. In the past when we weren't shooting, I would go to his family house "Krishnaraj" because Ranbir got his own cinema and we would watch "Tom and Jerry" for hours. Neetu aunty would come with cookies and milk to us while we were watching Cartoon Network. Neetu aunty is very sweet, she even made dinner for us when we were watching "Tom and Jerry" but I don't like "yellow sauce" so we always ordered pizza. At night Neetu aunty would first put me in bed in the guest room and tell me a fairytale story then she would put Ranbir in bed and tell him a story.
Why did you and Ranbir move in together?
Because we would sit up till late in the night and watch "Tom and Jerry" with full volume and this disturbed Rishi uncle and Neetu Aunty. They started closing the cinema at 11 PM IST and hence Ranbir and I started drawing cartoons for sometime but we got bored after some time and hence decided to move out in a new house with an even bigger cinema.
So Ranbir and you are just roommates?
We live in the same house but different rooms. Now we watch "Tom and Jerry" all the time and don't get disturbed much except for when Ranbir's friend Ayan visits and wants to discuss his next film with Ranbir. They go in Ranbir's room and close the door. They want the film to be a surprise for me so they don't let me be with them in the room when Ayan narrates the script to Ranbir. All I hear is Ayan moaning.
