Good actress needs to have many qualities choice of roles, dialog delivery, apt expressions , looking the character, taking risk etc etc

Apart from Dialog department Sonam is good in each of them .She may not be doing films with big directors but she is doing films where her characters have meatier part.She could have choose to be eye candy and fetch hits on the shoulders of Big stars ,But whatever little she has achieved as an actor is on her own .

Katrina is expressionless , can't speak hindi , does not care of her roles, excellent dancer etc .But even with all these what she has achieved is inspirational .

Kat is a star or rather superstar ..Sonam is more an actor than a star ..It is unfair comparing them Sonam has been always trying to be an actor and her last few films if we consider she has shown growth.

Katrina's plus is she is subtle and despite her being weak as an actor she never tests your patience that much as sonam

I would prefer Katrina over Sonam anyday. She is pleasant to the eyes- I liked her in films like Namaste London, ZNMD and Ek Tha Tiger.
