I don't think there was anything wrong in what she said. She was asked about the state of women in India and she spoke from her experience, and from what was shown in the documentary. When asked to compare between India & US, she said women are objectified in both places. She isn't "hating" on India, she's simply acknowledging the problem that actually exists, and she's aware it exists elsewhere as well.
How is anyone supposed to actually solve the problem if people freak out every time someone even acknowledges it? Just saying, "it happens everywhere else too!!!!" isn't going to magically make things okay. 😕

which country in Europe are you exactly talking about? I've spent nearly all my life in Europe lived in continental Europe and the tiny island called GB, and I have yet to encounter Europeans advocating misogyny to the same extent as Indian/middle Eastern/Arab/oriental culture does. Unless you are referring to immigrant populations displaying this behavior throughout Europe?

India forum is a small example of what all is wrong with india as a country and society. An actress from a daily soap deepika singh has accused her costar of 4 years anas rashid of misbehaving with her during a shoot. he touched her inappropriately while shooting a romantic scene. now i dont know who is sayin the truth or who is lying but just reading the comments on this article made me barf. so many people are blaming the actress and giving comments like if anas has not misbehaved with her in the last 4 years then why will he suddenly do so? and deepika might have misunderstood him. or worse, someone wrote that she should be ready to be touched anywhere on her body because she is an actress.🤢 and i can bet most of these comments are by women themselves.
another thing that caught my fancy is the news of popular actor karan patel getting married. most of his fans are happy that he is marrying a 'nice sweet homely' girl Anikta bhargava and not the divorced mother of a child, Kamya punjabi whom he was dating. karan's parents were not happy with his relationship and did not want a divorced mother as the bahu of their house. it does not matter that karan himself is a big player and has been linked with many woman himself. Also he is known for his aggressive behaviour. But because he is a man, he deserves a sweet homely virginal girl and not someone like kamya, who is second hand material. some of his fans are writing that anikta the girl he is going to marry will be a good influence on him. So bad boys deserve good girls who can change them but bad girls do not deserve good boys who can make their life better?
So pathetic and so sad. Any wonder that india is the hotbed of crime against woman. just look at the thinking of people. and these are the people who have access to internet. people who are educated and aware. if they think of woman like this, then what is wrong with the thinking of people like mukesh singh who feels that woman who are indepenedent or go out late at night should be tortured and raped.
