Sonam Kapoor: Deepika Padukone is doing much better than I am!

Sonam Kapoor, who is currently recuperating from swine flu, started off her career with Deepika Padukone. While the latter has delivered back-to-back hits and has quite a few big projects in her kitty, Anil Kapoor's beti on the other hand has a Sooraj Barjatya film which stars Salman Khan. So both these ladies are doing well professionally in their own way. However, Ms Padukone sure has tasted more success than the Dolly Ki Doli heroine and the latter isn't shy from admitting the same. While talking to a glossy, Sonam was quizzed about the Bajirao Mastaniheroine and how her career has shaped up. And the B-town fashionista said, "Well, she's doing much better than I am. Her career has taken a completely different path from mine. She's doing some amazing work. I'm happy for her and she deserves it."
The Prem Ratan Dhan Payo heroine further added, "There's definite growth in her work, choices and acting. She's started looking better and she's dressing better. She's refined herself. She started off as a raw diamond and now she's a beautiful piece. It's fascinating. My journey hasn't been as smooth and easy. But I'm trying to get there on a different path. We started off on the same road and went off in different directions."
Well, on various occasions Sonam has received flak for being too blunt but this time we are pretty sure no one is going to complain about her candid confession!
