'JAANEMANN' IS ANOTHER SPECIAL

'Jaanemann' is one of the hottest Bollywood offerings of the festive season and there are factors that make it special. Its illustrious banner, Nadiadwala Grandsons Entertainment, will be celebrating its fifty years in the film industry. According to industry reports, producer Sajid Nadiadwala wished Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra to play the roles later assigned to Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta, but it could not materialize due to unavoidable reasons. In the movie, Salman Khan will don three different getups, including one make over of bald man. Noted character artiste Anupam Kher will play a dwarf for the first time in his long career. This is to recall that Kamal Hasan had played dwarf in 'Appu Raja' (dubbed version of Tamil's 'Apoorva Sahodragal') in commercial mainstream cinema. Besides, 'Jaanemann' was exclusively shot in New York at a time when UN's 60th anniversary celebrations were underway with heads of government from all over the world in attendance.

The film was shot on high security locations like Times Square and Bronx without hassles. Moreover, all the three leading stars have already worked with producer Sajid Nadiadwala; Salman has done five films; Akshay has worked in three while Preity has acted in 'Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega'. This movie is the directorial debut of film editor turned-director Shirish Kunder . However, he has edited his wife Farah Khan's 'Main Hoon Na' in the past. Shirish makes striking presence with spectacular team work of immaculate cinematography, flawless choreography and melodious music in this film. Experienced writer Gulzar who was approached for scriptwriting but declined the offer and agreed to provide lyrics only. 'Jaanemann' is said to be one of the biggest releases this year with an estimated budget of Rs. 350 million. Significantly, the movie will lock horns with another big budget film 'Don' during the current festive season for box office supremacy.
