Last I read, he's engaged to some model chick Mara Lane. Man how lame did Dracula turn out to be, I forced myself to watch it for him, stopped mid series 1.. oh well at least he's doing something, a welcome change from when he was in a suicide bid due to his drink problem.

I never figured out why his career never took off like his co stars Natalie/Keira considering he's been acclaimed for a lot of things. Prefer to re-watch his interviews a million times over instead particularly these ones , so arrogantly intelligent but never in an annoying way and surprisingly articulate for a school drop out. Now that makes him doubly sexy.

His career never took off, Alo, b/c he was much too involved in screwing around half of England, downing drinks & drugs all the way. 😡 SO MUCH POTENTIAL----WASTED!!!!

Dracula was stupid, it was only his performance that saved him. He has so much of the dark in him that playing such dark, evil characters come so so naturally to him. ⭐️ God his lips. I want to make a pillow & lie in them, and those shockingly blue eyes. ☺️

To be honest, the downturn his career took seems to have stemmed from his mother's death and you can't help but feel for him for that, the boozing and drugs and subsequent rehab pattern was always on-off, he claims to have come off the drink now. Cos he seems deeply committed to his roles, a bit too committed IMO, the type to take their characters home, explains why his portrayal of the tyrannical Henry was spot on. Ahh yes the eyes, the menacing deep blue pools, the way his pupils contract in The Tudors title track, eerily sexy, yes I'm aware how silly that sounds. 😆

No, have seen most of his films including the shitty August Rush, the obscure/W*Fish Belle du Signour but not Match Point, Scarlet put me off it. I saw their interviews together, Scarlett basically admits everyone was doing each other off set. 😕😆

Btw, have you read about those highly disturbing rumours about him being involved with the filthy rich old man who took him in after he left home in Ireland? Yes... He's rumoured to be bisexual. No-one cares about that but THAT story was DISTURBING!

I haven't been able to escape the bi rumours anywhere pertaining to him.. I wonder if that arose cos of Velvet Goldmine, he did seem to compliment Ewan McGregor a lot, not that it changes my liking for him.
Yep read about that too when I was binge reading everything I could about him, that man was charged with assault after.. I just try to block that out.. But nothing was as upsetting as his suicide bid, am just glad he's out of that phase.


I think it's a shame his natural Cork accent has faded off screen due to all the exposure he's had in America and his 4 year long role in Tudors but he can pull any accent when required- Aristocratic English, cockney accent and his Elvis act. ⭐️
