What do you mean by people? Charlie was killed by terrorists and to be one,you cant be a human. Their act has no justification in Islam. They are as wrong as Charlie Hebdo himself. The terrorsists think that they have the right to kill (by Quran) and Charlie (and people like him) think that Quran actually allows this! Their thinking is so similar!
According to the Quran, you are not allowed to take any lives (except in self defence). Not even your own. Abortion, suicide etc are haram so how can anyone believe that we are allowed to kill?!
But people do and that's where the whole problem lies. They think Allah has given them the right to judge and kill or they just want to think like that...to use Islams name and spread hate.
There's a very nice story that I would like to share. I know I'm going off topic...repeating the same thing over and over again but here it is anyways.
A woman used to hate our Prophet so much that she would wait on the roof of her house for the prophet to pass by and when he did,she would throw garbage on him. The prophet never said anything and didn't even change his route hoping that one day she'll realise her mistake.
One day,the lady didn't come out and Muhammad PBUH went in to check what's wrong and he found her sick. He helped her and the lady realised that she had wrong one of the greatest man ever.
Muhammad (pbuh) had to bear more than this. People would call him names, thrwo stones at him but he never did anything. He didn't even speak against them nor did he allow any muslim to. So what do you think gives these terrorists the right to??

Charlie henbo was an asshole too and allah will punish him well on the day of judgement :)

The Quran:

Quran (2:191-193) - "And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out. And Al-Fitnah [disbelief or unrest] is worse than killing...

but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah [disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allah] and worship is for Allah alone. But if they cease, let there be no transgression except against Az-Zalimun (the polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc.)" (Translation is from the Noble Quran) The historical context of this passage is not defensive warfare, since Muhammad and his Muslims had just relocated to Medina and were not under attack by their Meccan adversaries. In fact, the verses urge offensive warfare, in that Muslims are to drive Meccans out of their own city (which they later did). The use of the word "persecution" by some Muslim translators is thus disingenuous (the actual Muslim words for persecution - "idtihad" - and oppression - a variation of "z-l-m" - do not appear in the verse). The actual Arabic comes from "fitna" which can mean disbelief, or the disorder that results from unbelief or temptation. Taken as a whole, the context makes clear that violence is being authorized until "religion is for Allah" - ie. unbelievers desist in their unbelief.

Quran (2:216)
- "Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not." Not only does this verse establish that violence can be virtuous, but it also contradicts the myth that fighting is intended only in self-defense, since the audience was obviously not under attack at the time. From the Hadith, we know that this verse was narrated at a time that Muhammad was actually trying to motivate his people into raiding merchant caravans for loot.

Quran (3:56) - "As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help."

I just mentioned your name in that topic at the start, as a joke, but it didn't go too well with you 😆 😛 I think MPK got it. I am sure he won't mind me using his name here.

I thought this topic is not about Hindu vs Muslim vs some another religion.

This is about Charlie Hebdo. I can understand a generalized discussion on religion, but when it turns into one religion vs another, then the main point is lost.
