Thinking about it I may have offended two major religions - Hinduism and SRK
No reason for the pic

So you intentionally offended Hinduism to make a point & then went on to gloat about the fact that your post was removed , thats exactly the kind of thing that i was talking about with respect to absolute freedom of speech which does not care for context & intent..

I dare say you expected Hindus to not be offended by it due to "absolute freedom of speech" .. well that argument is valid if you are dealing with people supporting "absolute freedom of speech" ,i on the other hand go by context & intent ..and yes i also happen to be a Hindu ..so there is that too.. 😊

A) I was kidding in the previous post

B) Now I understand AIB's point. Thank You.

A) You said "f**k this ,f**k that & then f**k the Hanuman "

B) I dont know if you are a Hindu , even if you are it doesnt make much of difference to your context & intent.

C) You used it to take out your frustration on AIB & included that comment with an obvious intention of offending people & make your point , ergo , there is no question of dismissing it as " kidding" .. who are you trying to kid here ?

D) Its good that you FINALLY support "Absolute Freedom of speech" & AIB , which you were so intent to mock earlier .. now did i not say "absolute freedom of speech" will lead to utter chaos making it difficult to make head or tail of a predicament .. thank you for proving it so effortlessly.. 😆

1) Blacks are nothing but modified apes and they should go find the jungle than pollute the society with their dirty skin.
2) Faggots should be beheaded for hunting down the "wrong" hole.
3) Muslims are the scumbags of today's world.
4) Christians should be crucified like Jesus because we have Bush.
5) Indians are all horny rapists.
And yada, yada, yada, I can go on...

Now if such statements and free will to say anything and everything doesn't lead to a dysfunctional or volatile society, I shall be the first to stand in line to defend such a "tolerant" take on freedom of speech. But Oopsie daisy, is this really a "tolerant" society considering it itself goes against the very definition of tolerance for not being able to tolerate views, people, religion or culture one doesn't readily agree with.

Also with your logic, even bullying, verbal abuse etc etc should also be allowed after all they are using their freedom of speech and not necessarily "biting". Just nonchalant barks. It's the victims who shouldn't be affected with such barks.

--------------

Point is freedom of speech ain't really "free". If you really think people won't take offense or get affected regardless of what is being blurted, you don't know much about Human Psyche nor are you aiming for a smooth ride with the already screwed up dynamics of the world. Freedom of speech ain't a matter of black or white or is it mutually exclusive to be abused.

A+

Somehow the skin lightening ads don't sit well on this forum.

But jokes repeatedly on someone's dark skin color on AIB ==> freedom of speech.

We wouldn't need skin lightening creams in India if every person regardless of their skin tone felt good in their own skin.

It is common in India to make fun of someone's skin color, especially when it is wheatish or dark it is considered unattractive, so AIB can't exactly be blamed either, but their show did absolutely nothing to push the envelope in comedy.

Everything fails & then the snark comes out .. happens ..i dont blame you ..😆

Look , i am not trying to persuade you for anything , i wouldn't have even cared for it if i didnt see you gloating about it here too, i have enough people tailing me on this forum (especially the Newbies😆 & you are toh posting from your original ID now 😆 ) but you need to understand that going by the nature of your comments especially keeping in mind the context & intent , i have every right to be offended about it as a Hindu ( which is exactly what you wanted to accomplish , so congratulations on that 😆) .. so now whats bothering you ? .. either ways , i dont wish to take it any further .. god bless you .. 😊

A lot of people get away with a lot under the disguise of a joke, which is fine, because no one can stop them. But in some cases out of decency they need to take consent from people whose names they use or if not for consent at the least notify them. Aprita Khan's joke was in the newspaper. AIB edited it out of the video. But someone like Farida Jalal it seems the media went after her to let her know specifically about the joke and find out her take on it, so it's not really cool for the person involved to find out like that from the media.
