If we are bashing...u are defending too...I mean do u not get it?...if this is a small issue...u r as much as a culprit as I am for making this big😆

I see you dodged the question again. 😆... weren't you the one coming out with analogies like, a small cut left untreated could develop into a nasty infection, what's that supposed to mean if not holding them responsible for any bad influence they may have on the public?,, so stop pretending how you're only against jokes made on Farida Jalal etc, you've clearly demonstrated that you hold them accountable for much more as proven by your liking of posts that have attempted to make some absurd connection between abusive language and rape.

You just don't get it, when people inflate a small issue into a big issue, to the point where people want censorship and forcing their moral compass on others, then it becomes an important topic to discuss.

Delhi & Mumbai are cities with the highest percentage of rapes. AIB was held in Mumbai. I am not even sure if India has detailed statistics on gang-rape to think about the educated or uneducated crowd.

I think we can poke fun at things we care about. I poke fun on my sister/brother/mom/dad/friends/everybody I know that doesn't mean I don't care for them. Infact Humor does make people feel better about these issues . Laughter is the best medicine 😉

For example my cousin slipped on some ice and had to wear a cast on his foot for like 3 weeks . An i called him limpy 😆😆😆😆 Thats doesn't mean I didn't care about his pain . I helped move him around alot while calling him limpy 😆😆😆

it is hilarious how the tits controversy was made to be a consent vs. non - consent issue but that is completely ignored in AIB's context. Of course, Deepika being on the other end of the issue helps fill in some of the gaps. You cannot have freedom of expression if the ones who find a content offensive are not able to voice their opinions. If people found Amir's make - believe film offensive then they have all the right to express it as long as it's done in a civil manner.

In other news, even if we assume Amir is hypocritical, is hypocrisy also now only exclusive to Deepika? LMAO.

Ranveer, DP, KJO will keep on milking the AIB issue to stay relevant until they come up with another ploy to stay in the news.

Yes, I agree with you that in a country reeling from rapes, rape and sexual abuse are nothing to joke about.

However, rape is not defined by the "sex act". Rape is defined by "lack of consent". There are many sex acts that would be violent or degrading to me, but that doesn't mean someone else wouldn't enjoy it. I feel we do face a social problem when we view rape in terms of the "act" not terms of "consent"

AIB was watched by an audience that is more or less educated and knows the difference between sex act and consent. I personally find that mainstream movies that glorify chasing, teasing, coercing women are far more dangerous due to their mass appeal and hero worship. That being said, I am not for censorship.

Our nation needs to be educated about consent, big time. NO MEANS NO! Thats that.

Consent is understood or implied in Parineeti's case, but I can't be the only one who heard that and couldn't help, but think about the actual issue. It is hard not to hear that and not think about the issue even though both may be different.

@bold: How do we know this? Isn't this an assumption?

They had the show in Mumbai. We have no clue who came to watch the show. They uploaded the video on YT for anyone to watch. After taking the video down other people have started uploading the video for anyone to watch.

Except I don't think Aamir meant it symbolically because he specifically said this kind of talk perpetuates violence.

@Franco

Nobody went after these comedians "instead of" rapists. The whole police and state machinery is not after these AIB greats.

FYI, all 8 culprits in Rohtak gang rape case were arrested in 24 hours. The police is doing its job.

You sitting abroad and browsing an entertainment forum cannot gauge what "they in India" are doing or not doing.

All issues are looked at. Only these AIB ones are not the national interest in India. It is hyped up only online and by a certain section.

Again started India bashing after giving clarifications on great Amreeka in another thread!

No way is whole country after these bakchods!

I am not sure if someone can construct a joke like that and not think about an actual issue. That's the way I look at it and when a joke like that is amusing, then we are in some ways making light of an issue even though they may be different.

I didn't like the comments on ebola either.

ya that one was for Maroon and other worshippers of Freedom of speech...who keep on cribbing that why are people not focusing on the real issue ...so that was my reply for that...and please stop putting words into people's mouths...My stand on rape is clear...only the rapist is responsible for the crime...no one else...pick out any topic about the Nirbhaya case and u can see what i have said...and LIKING of the posts...seriously...I will like a post if there are parts of it that I like...i mean really??liking the posts?? ...and if people have made this issue big because for THEM it was important and u want to give ur input on THEIR views then why blame someone else...u want to join the debate...go ahead without cribbing...and on one hand u are standing up for Freedom of speech...on the other hand u guys especially Maroon...are cribbing that why are people expressing their views about this shitty show😕...makes me think if like AIB guys you even believe in what u are standing up for or u are just debating for the heck of it...😕 #oxymoronoverload.
