Now let me elaborate what MOST Kareena fans react like.
None of us are DUMB enough to go around saying shell get best actress, has another hit coming, will steal shows, blah blah.
But yeah, we are well aware of the ghisse pitta dialogues her detractors use against her. So when Kareena does something that directly contradicts her detractors claim, YES, we celebrate.
A few very popular critiques thrown at Kareena on IF:
1) She is no longer relevant and being considered by the BIG budget films or BIG heroes. Khans have moved on.
Well...bam. 34 years old, but still nails a Salman Khan film. You can't get bigger than Salman.
We were ecstatic on IF, NOT because she'll steal the show, get a hit, blah blah. But coz Bebo shut her detractors up with that one. I went through that thread the day Kabir announced it. Not a SINGLE detractor posted. And I know which ones are the first that post in a negative Kareena topic. Your absence was deafening 😆
2) Kareena doesn't sign multistarrers unless it has a big hero.
Strong rumors about Udta Punjab. We don't give two hoots about Shahid Kapoor. We just care that she has a good role and she proved that she's considering it when we still don't know who will be signed on opposite her. But yes, if you go around saying she's in NEED of Shahid, umm...yeah right. Refer to above fact. She has a Salman. Who is Shahid in front of a Salman if we're really talking about dependence upon a costar? And to those saying can Kareena fans stop harping on about Salman, can her detractors stop harping on about her dependency on other lesser heroes? 😆
3) Kareena only does flowerpot roles.
Early this year Rajkumar Gupta was the FIRST who began to hint that he's in talks with Bebo. Kareena hinted last year that she has been in talks with some directors that her fans will be proud of, but its too early to talk about. And then, bam. RKG gives open statements saying that his film is about topic blah blah, and Kareena is the protagonist. Critically acclaimed director.
Go through the topic of the film's announcement. You won't find Kareena fans going, "She's gonna in awards" or "She's gonna leave everyone behind! Our gal blah blah"
You'll find us saying, "fingers crossed, hope she doesn't walk out"
So yeah. Before impersonating Kareena fans, at least be factually correct.
Stereotypes are so blah. And immature.
