A close collaborator of Yo Yo Honey Singh lifts the lid on the rapper's vanishing act.

Yo Yo Honey Singh has been AWOL since October, but he continues to grab headlines for all the wrong reasons. Multiple reports claim that court-cases over controversial lyrics, a muchtalked about fall out with his Chennai Express collaborator Shah Rukh Khan and substance abuse, has resulted in a rehab stint for the rapper.

The 31-year-old singer missed the entire season of his own reality show India's Raw Star and was then conspicuous by his absence at SRK's SLAM tour where he was set to perform. While a recent report insists that the singer is back to public life, Honey Singh's frequent collaborator, his lyricist who goes by the name Yo, told Mirror, "No way! He's still not made contact with the team of artistes he usually works with and has even changed his cell phone numbers."

Yo, who collaborated with the rapper on the chartbusting Singham Returns track, Aata Majhi Satakli, adds, "He told his team that he is taking a break to go home and spend time with his family. But instead, he checked himself into a rehab centre in Chandigarh in October. We worked through the night on the lyrics of Aata Majhi Satakli. That was the last time I met him. I have never seen him use drugs while working. But the rest of the time he was always high."

When quizzed about his alleged fight with the top superstar, the songwriter says, "Neither of them may own up to it but I don't think Honey Singh will ever work with SRK again," says the lyricist.

And is he keen to reunite with the rapper? "Nobody is waiting for him to get back. No, I don't think I'll work with him again," asserts Yo.

When contacted, Honey Singh's spokesperson said, "Honey Singh was unwell and recovering at home in Delhi. He will be back soon."
