With mixed reactions from critics as well as audience, Bipasha Basu-Karan Singh Grover starrer Alone' box office collections have been very average. Opening at Rs 3.5 crore, latest horrex movie from Bollywood has managed to close the first weekend collecting around Rs 14 crore in the domestic market.

Overall, Alone' box office collections stand at Rs 16.1 crore after adding Rs 2.1 crore to the kitty on Monday.

Movie review: Alone'; Bipasha Basu starrer has a few horror' scenes

The trade website Koimoi reported that Alone' generated Rs 4.50 crore from Saturday and a good number on Sunday, mostly from single screens in the territories it was expected to score well. Going by latest benchmarks, set by Aamir Khan's PK', Alone' box office collections may not have been much to write home about, the movie is faring better than the other two releases, Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene' and Crazy Cukkad Family'.

However, the Hindi version of Vikram and Amy Jackson starrer I' has done a relatively better job, collecting Rs 9.15 crore, with Rs 7.90 crore from the opening weekend.

Alone enjoys a good weekend and I creates havoc down south

After witnessing a decent first day by banking a sum of 4.57 crore approximately, the Bipasha Basu - Karan Singh Grover starrer, Alone enjoyed a good weekend.

The film was expected to fare better over the weekend if not take a big jump and that's pretty much what happened. It managed a sum of 4.45 crore and 5.63 crore on Saturday and Sunday respectively. The total weekend collection of the film now adds upto 14.65 crore approximately.

Given Alone's horror genre, the film is targeted for the single screen massy audience and it working wonders in that domain. Bipasha and Karan's sizzling chemistry has grabbed many eyeballs and is working in the film's favour.

From the looks of it, the film is now heading for a decent weekend.

On the other hand, Shankar's I witnessed a fantastic weekend. Despite getting a lukewarm response from Bollywood audience, the film is minting massive numbers down south. A lifetime total of around 150 crore looks realistic at this point. Check em out...
