So he claims he's no monster that judges people by their clothes yet enforced a dress code for Nikhil cos he thought he has a 'jhola company vibe'.. not sure I get that and not sure I buy into the 'getting into the fun, bubbly, commercial zone' excuse.
His interviews, like Saif always grab your attention and are articulate but that's where it ends.

My first thought too. Or B Sr. The Bs are exceptionally close to the family & Jaya B considers Karan's Maa to be her closest industry friend.

I believe he is a great director. Most of his films from the past (KKHH, KHNH, K3G) have been stupendous hits and rightly so. All 3 of those movies were beautifully made.

KHNH was directed by Nikhil Advani, not Karan Johar!

Haven't met even a single person till date who hasn't said KHNH is directed by KJo.😆 (talking in general, not directed towards CPR)

wat i am saying is that it wasn't as if ranveer didn't tell karan he was gonna do it. Karan himself said in this interview he gives ranveer credit for that.

'But to his credit he had mentioned that he was going to kiss me'

Also karan said he didn't hav a problem with it, he didn't think it was rude.

And the roast is supposed to be insult comedy, its harsh and critical, thats just how it is.

I'm asked to ditch my faded Khadi/Fab-India ka kurta while attending a formal event/interview, doesn't mean the person who asked me to get rid of my jhola thinks I'm a crazy talentless velli. 😆
Anyway, I agree, my liking is restricted to his interviews. Not a fan of his snobbish ways, even If it's a facade. 😆

Regarding the director of KHNH, even I thought it was directed by KJo at one point. 😆

Always said it & always will- Karan Johar is one of the most articulate, witty & sharpest people in BW. Yes, he is mean & does come across as a ditzy vibe but that's what he sells because that's what people expect from him & purchase. There is much more to him than Chanel ,Prada & SoBo.

He is far above the pesudo Kashyap, Banerjee sorts. But behind the facade of SoBo Gossip Queen & articulate charmer, there lies a very, very lonely & hyper-fragile human being. I always end up feeling really sorry for him, even when he's at his bitchiest because that essentially, spells insecurity, it's this need to not let his inherent deep vulnerabilities & insecurities, peek through.

Lovely, lovely IV. TFS! 😊

However much we might like to disregard, clothes are our first physical impression to the world. Esp in a place like BW, esp in a PH like YRF & Dharma. In his case what KJo probably meant is that he's a representative of Dharma now & needs to project through his sartorial choices, what the company & his movies stand for. He didn't word it well & it came off as the perceived KJo-ness, agreed. 😆

Even when am home & some-one is about to visit, and am lounging in faded Fab India kurtas & trackpants, my Mum gets upset. 😆😆 this is KARAN JOHAR we are talking about. 😆😆

If anyone is interested, one of KJo's best IVs is his TBIP-Tete a Tete one & the India's Most Desirable one. More of insightful, humane KJo, less of the SoBo brat. Do check them out.

Heyy..Dibakar is not a pseudo intellect at all...none of his interviews give a vibe that he is belittling other types of movies and stuff..he is just into his kind of films that's all...😊

At the max, he is mad!😆😆
