According to Indian Express, the part is more or less confirmed and the actress is said to have given her nod to the much talked about film.

New Delhi: Yes, finally it will happen. The ex-flame Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan will reunite after eight long years for Udta Punjab', a film to be helmed by director Abhishek Chaubey.
Earlier, there were just rumours that the two might come together for the flick, however, now the news is confirmed that the two will officially star opposite each other.
In an interview to a leading daily, the director informed that, "We have come across a script that both, Kareena and I love. We will be working together on that. It will happen very soon."
Shahid Kapoor was already the lead star for the flick while his Shandaar' co-star Alia Bhatt is also expected to be the part however, suspense remains over whom among the two actresses will romance with Shahid. Or will it be a love triangle?
Well, whatever if may be, roping in the former couple is nothing less than an accomplishment for the director as it's been years that none of the filmmakers has managed to do so.
At several occasions it's observed that the two never tried to cross eachother's path and mostly it's one of both the actors the reason behind a flick's denial.
