How Anushka bagged a Karan Johar film?

Did Anushka Sharma get the role in Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hain Mushkil because of Katrina Kaif? The answer is yes.

Katrina was offered the role, but turned down the offer as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was in the film. She did not want to work with her, as she did not want to antagonize anyone. But she also made sure Karan did not sign Deepika, who has a fabulous on-screen chemistry with Ranbir. Instead she recommended Anushka as she knew Ranbir's Bombay Velvet costar, who's in a serious relationship with cricketer Virat Kohli, was no threat to her.

Oh plz... didnt KJo already said tht he wanted Ranbir Anu coz he saw a lot of chemistry between thm in BV. Besides how wld Kat antagonize Aish by working with her? Did Anu antagonize Kat by working with her? The only person who wld have possibly been antagoniged wolud be Salman. Imagine seeing Ranbir romance one of his exes offscreen, and two onscreen... So she did this to protect RK :P...Kuch bhi... And KJo wldnt go by anyones recommendation for this project. He has very active mind of his own.
