GC should have chosen his first film more carefully and wisely.

Lets not forget that he has a 3 movie deal with the banner. Hopefully role length will improve in subsequent movies. The Bhatt banner is prolific so hopefully he should find parts (even if they are not lead parts) and not get stuck in a contract that isn't going anywhere.

I think Gurmeet is way better actor than Ali fazal & chota hi sahi but he did a nice job. Atleast mujhe Alone actor se toh better laga. But yes story is disappointing

Watched Khamoshiyan - it wasn't as bad as some reviews made it out to be, but it wasn't that great either. Gurmeet and Sapna's characters were interesting, but Ali's character was written very badly. The storyline had many gaps and the screenplay also needed improvement.

Khamoshiyan has surprised everyone as the film
with no star cast notched up 11.30 crores nett in
week one at the Domestic Box Office. The horror
film has worked very well specially in the mass
centres.
The film made a business of 6.67 crores in its
opening weekend, post which it stayed little low
during the weekdays. On its 1st Monday, it
collected 1.33 crores, 1st Tuesday - 1.27 crores ,
1st Wednesday 1.10 crores , and on 1st Thursday
i.e. yesterday it collected 93 lacs, thus taking
its total box office collections to 11.3 crores nett
in its 1st Week.

Nevertheless, the budget of the film have proved
to be savior here. The movie has entered the
Plus' zone already and the next week will
decide how much profits the makers will earn
from this small-budget film.
Khamoshiyan has been made with a budget of 11
crores (including marketing) and the makers -
Fox Star Studios and Vishesh Films - have
already collected 7.5 crores on satellite and
music rights thus making Khamoshiyan a
profitable venture, just like any other Bhatt
product.

Akshay Kumar's "Baby" has maintained its
rock-steady pace at the domestic box office,
while "Khamoshiyan" has turned out to be a
profitable venture.

"Baby" finished its two weeks theatrical run
and became the first hit film of 2015. Positive
reviews helped the film to maintain a strong
hold at the ticket window even in its second
week. Due to this the film managed to earn
Rs 84 crore in two weeks.

"Baby" is one of the commercially successful
films of 2015 along with "Khamoshiyan". Both
the films managed to earn more than the
production costs.
"Khamoshiyan" starring Ali Fazal, Sapna
Pabbi and Gurmeet Choudhary is a horror
thriller. The film earned its budget amount
within seven days of its release.
Made on a budget of Rs 11 crore,
"Khamoshiyan" earned Rs 11 crore from its
domestic run in first week and Rs 7.5 crore
from satellite and music rights.

dhamakedaar opening, television heartthrob
Gurmeet's debut film has surprisingly done good
business till now. Khamoshiyan has been running
in the cinema halls for a week now and so far it
has collected Rs 11.30 crore which i impressive
as the film doesn't star any established actor/
actress.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote
on the popular social networking site Twitter a

Now this certainly calls for a party because
Karan's film has been made on a budget of Rs
11 crore and within one week it has managed to
recover the cost. Also, the makers have already
minted Rs Rs 7.5 crore through satellite and
music rights. So Khamoshiyan has turned out to
be a a profitable venture and we won't be
surprised if a success bash is thrown pretty soon.
