You mean to say that it made 200 and still were dishing out free tickets?? Which film has done that before?? This itself is prove that it underperformed badly. And 200 is considered the pinnacle ATM.

I read that...but how does that justify...changing the figures of a movie after 5 years...and that also of not one but several movies...so that means it gives INCORRECT figures and then keeps changing it...then why are they reliable is my question.

@adventourousman My point still stands that no one here has travelled around India to calculate a film's collections. On what basis can someone on this forum declare that so-and-so film has not collected 200 crores? On what basis can anyone here say that Krrish 3/HNY have not collected 200 crores? What if they did? Then what?

The films that I mentioned are regarded to have gone past the 200 figure from all quarters. There is no second opinion about it.

But HNY and K3 are mostly laughed at for the huge blunders that they have done.

Doesn't take a genius to figure out whats wrong here.

Exactly...all these people keep chanting BOI BOI...but they fail to answer my question...that how come a website who changed the figures after 5 years is reliable??

again u are assuming it based on ur opinion that BOI is always correct...whereas I just gave u the numbers given by BOI itself...if the numbers were correct ...then how come they were changed after 3, 4 and 5 years...and I am not talking about the statuses here...which BOI changes at the drop of a hat...

I do agree that the films you mentioned are regarded as 200 crores from all quarters. Even if Krrish 3 figures of 244 crores may have been inflated, what if the film still did 200 crores nonetheless? BOI's 170/180 crore figure doesn't have to be the be all-end all. Who knows what exact collection Krrish 3 did? I remember Komal Nahta giving a 216 crore figure or something like that.

Don't see the controversy over HNY's collections. I haven't seen any controversy outside of this forum.

So on what basis can someone say they did? You stop saying it did 200cr, I'll stop saying it did 177cr, as both of us don't know how much it did, rite?

Is that fair?

You stop making threads and celebrating that it did 200cr and I"ll stop mentioning that it didn't

We don't know but we do have sources and industry sources are saying that figures are being fudged, now they won't mention so and so film for obvious reasons but they have given enough hints.

its like saying awards are genuine and we've not gone to Mumbai ourselves so we don't know whether its genuine or not.
