Happy Ending could not grow much on Saturday as collections were only up a little when they had top grow 60-70% from a film to have a chance. The writing was on the wall on Friday when it did not pick up and the Saturday figures just confirmed its fate . The first two days collections are as follows.

Friday - 3,75,00,000

Saturday - 4,25,00,000

Total - 8,00,00,000

The film will probably do a weekend of 13 crore nett approx which is just a little higher than what The Shaukeens grossed a couple of weeks back.

Happy Ending has had a disastrous fate at the box office. The film grossed just 13 crore nett over the first weekend. The low collections outside the metros are no surprise but the premium multiplexes in places like Mumbai city, Delhi city and Bangalore atleast should have shown good growth from Friday afternoon.

These theatres are up compared to how they started but the growth is nominal like it is for a mass film when this is the target audience for the film. A similar film Finding Fanny also faced rejection like this but that rejection came on Monday, here Friday evening sealed the fate of the film.

The last major release which was a disaster like this was Gori Tere Pyaar Main and coincidently it was releases in the same week last year. That film grossed 14 crore nett and although Happy Ending will beat that its no consolation as the costs involved are also higher.

Yes... This is wht I wrote in another thread where someone suggested that the movie flopped becoz ppl didn't like wht saif had been saying abt Hindi films and so decided not to watch

U really believe audience dismissed the film becoz he spoke some nonsense? No! Audience rejected the film becoz it was terrible! The trailer made it seem like it was a movie abt a single screen hero who wanted to make it big with the multiple,ex crowd and hires an urbane writer to make him the magic script...I thot it wud be great and satirical and like Americas Sweethearts( what's the use of seeing the foreign films if u don't learn!!) but no...govinda was barely there and story was the plodding love story of a commitment phobic man who meets his match( Bachna ae haseeno had a similar story but was a million times more entertaining) god ! The story plodded on and on...and I wanted to die...they had all the songs included in the movie...even paaji tussi which I thot was a sure shot end credits song ...except for the lyrics...but no even that was there in the movie( now this may be due to not watching hindi movies...saif/kareena...Hindi films have changed now...u can have a promotional song during g the end credits...u needn't include all songs in the movie...imagine!!!!)

God it went on and on...he met the girl he liked...then some shit...then kalki comes and says she is pregnant...then some shit...then she says she is not pregnant...then some shit...I wanted kill someone!!!!

I loved Go Goa Gone...what hpnd to Raj and Dk...

So this is y the film flopped

Looks like Nawab and Bebo need to start watching Bollywood films again to see how cinema has evolved over the past few years.

Shocked to hear about people leaving this film at interval! I have heard before though that people leave bad films at interval in India 😆 Which part of India do you live in?

Hyderabad... And this is the first movie in a very very long time I am seeing where ppl r getting up and going
