Guess Who?

A senior filmmaker, who has delivered a couple of romantic blockbusters for a big banner in the past, was recently speaking about a yuppie director in an unhappily surprised manner.

Apparently, this yuppie filmmaker, who has recently delivered a 200 crore plus Hollywood remake (or shall we say photo copy) with India's super hero and glamour doll (literally!), was heard boasting that he has travelled over eighty times to foreign locations while shooting and preparing for this film. His remarks were particularly galling as they were made in front of few senior filmmakers, who hoped to hear more about the film's production and direction processes.
While travelling abroad for recces and shoots is a perk of the job for most established directors in India, it is rarely boasted about. But for this yuppie filmmaker, whose previous movies have not always set the box office on fire, the travel bit evidently counted a lot more than the actual making of the film

I am guessing the blind is using gross figures.

But yeah, the yuppie director seems to be Sid Anand. Hollywood remake is Bang Bang with Indian superhero HR and glamour doll Kat. And his previous movies all didn't set the box office on fire.

I wonder who the senior filmmaker is. 😕
