ZK does not rock!
Three decades ago, Sanjay Dutt burst on to the screen with Rocky.
Now, Zayed Khan has his version of Rocky — The Rebel (his first solo hero project) and it hasn't done well. Two days after its release, the 10.30 pm show at a Malad multiplex had only four-and-a-half people in the theatre, in the form of a couple with a kid and two men.
Lekin not to fear, ZK. Remember how many flops Abhishek gave before he became hot and happening?
No Bolly presence | | | | | | Bhavana Pandey, Seema Khan and Nandita Mahtani | | Yana Gupta | | What happens when the king of good times decides to roll the red carpet? The Bollywood junta goes into hiding. As part of the Kingfisher Airlines Tennis Open, designers Surily Geol and Ashish Soni showcased their latest Fall/Winter collection.
Apart from the tennis champs, including Mahesh Bhupathi and a string of models, Yana Gupta looked fresh and vibrant. The fellow designers who sat in the front row making notes of the cuts and frills, included Nandita Mahtani and Seema Khan. Take a look…
Suneel Darshan gets lucky!
Here's one film unit where actors pamper the director instead. Bobby Deol, Celina Jaitly, Kangana Ranaut and Upen Patel are quite fond of their director Suneel Darshan.
Be it ganging up over set ka khana or just taking a walk down a solitary Johannesburg country road, they simply love to accompany their director.
So it didn't come as a surprise when they got Darshan a yummy cake with a firework candle et al on his birthday and insisted he takes a break. Aww. Cho chweet, no?
Upen Patel's broke!
Call it Upen's ways of staying connected with the family, or just another habit of being hooked to the phone all day.
The actor has run up a cell phone bill of Rs 2 lakh after living out of the suitcase for two months thanks to his shooting commitments.
First, it was Johannesburg (for Suneel Darshan's Shakalaka Boom Boom), then London (for Vipul Shah's Namaste London) and all this while he had been on international roaming, chatting endlessly. Some people just have all the money in the world, no?
Techno Nandalal
After Hanuman, it's time for Krishna to go techno.
The deity will be seen in India's first 3D animation film titled Krishna…
Aayo Natkhat Nandalal. Produced by Shethia Audio Video Pvt Ltd, the film hit the theatres yesterday.
Flower power!
And while we're talking about people with envious amounts of disposable income, our favourite star sublet, Sophie Chaudhary, has sent us another lovely posy for paying lip service to her, well, lips.
Another beautiful, expensive bouquet for another one of our brickbats.
Really honey, we're not into S&M and that kind of thing, you know.
Hai Rama, yeh kya hua!
Raj Kumar Santoshi is all set to begin his costume drama, Ramayana. "It's going to be a huge project with lots of special effects and something along the lines of Lord Of The Rings.
Ajay Devgan and Kajol have agreed to do the film and will be playing Ram and Seeta. It will not be a modern interpretation, but a period film," he says.
And no, K Sera Sera will not be producing this multi-crore mega venture, but Santoshi himself. But we digress.
We're still trying to digest Devgan in all his gold-streaked glory as Lord Rama and the super loud and chatty Kajol as the placid, docile Seeta maiyya. Hey bhagwan! | |
