Oh and as far as age difference, the reason I brought it up was because Siddharth had mentioned it in an interview. Though personally I don't think it's so much the 8 years but rather the fact that she's only 21 at this point. 21 and 29 are very different than say 28 and 36. Some of Sid's comments, like for instance saying he feels protective of her, makes me think that he sees her as a younger buddy whom he cares for a lot but sees as a kid. Wasn't that Alia's complaint as well on KWK that he always thought of her as a child? Lol.
Hey its definitely not a weak argument..Even I thought Sid-Alia were sizzling together while Varlia had more of a cute chemistry in SOTY..to each his own afterall..Sidlia had many fans post SOTY..yes their onscreen pairing was definitely loved...now u dont see many fans cuz unlike Varlia or Sidneeti they havent worked in a full fledged romance as of yet...HTP/HSKD as movies were obviously more appreciated than a SOTY for the performances,storyline,direction etc compared to SOTY,so many feel Sidlia have no chemistry and they never had any fans..well its a wrong notion..Truth is most of them moved on..If their pairing had a successful movie to credit in recent times,ppl might not have undermined their popularity...You wud still see fans in forum sporting their siggies and all haha...But its not the case and hece u dont see any anticipation..I think their chemistry is still unexplored..lot of untapped potential..These two can be surreal together onscreen if given the right script,characters and the director who can extract the best out of them
About Kjo well its just me...I never felt he is keen on the Sidlia pairing,though they are supposed to be his favourite students...Even during SOTY,he was always trying to fuel rumours of Varlia offscreen chemistry and Sid got treated like a sidekick..maybe cuz he was too nervous,shy and didnt get the whole concept of promotions,as he was an outsider...Their pairing was considered for many Dharma movies,but look like Kjo didnt okay the possibility at the last moment..Nothing to do with lack of good storylines..Alia is working with Arjun,RK,Shahid etc who are much elder than her..Or he thinks Sid isnt successful enough to be paired opposite the new No:1 or something lol..Alia-Sushant is paired in a movie which would be directed by Homi next year...Yeah Sid always say he was kinda awkward with Alia during SOTY cuz of the age difference and even Alia complained he used to look through her and all..But their bonding post SOTY has been really good...they are much more comfortable and at ease when together..you can judge that from their body language,when they are spotted together at public events etc..So I earnestly hope and wish,they would work together in a movie sooon and wouldnt have to wait till she hits 28 and he, 36 hahah.
