One thing I don't understand about Bollywood is why filmmakers approach actors with their scripts. While occasionally a script will be written with someone in mind, that is usually not the case.

A script is created with plot and characters in mind. The characters are given personalities and mannerisms that suit the story. Then an audition is held to see which actor can best essay the role. There may be one or more preferred choices in mind, but usually there is some sort of selection process for casting.

I think Bollywood will improve if it shifts from favor based roles to actual talent based roles.
