Dil, Dance, Ranveer Singh's Chance

Tuesday, 7 October 2014 - 6:20am IST | Place: Mumbai | Agency: DNA

Ranveer is known to do mad things. Like the #banbangdare he took up by dancing in the middle of a busy Bandra street. We now hear that he has turned choreographer for the first time with Kill Dil, even teaching co-star Parineeti Chopra a few steps.

Says a source, "Sweeta, a recently released song from Kill Dil, features him and Parineeti Chopra. Aditya Chopra and director Shaad Ali had got Ganesh Acharya on board to choreograph the song. But when Ganesh heard the track and understood the part of the story it was in, he decided to hand over the reins to Ranveer. The song has Pari going through several activities in a day and a lovestruck Ranveer around her all the time. Ranveer can sure dance but this will be the first time he will be choreographging a song. He's excited as it lets him go completely crazy - he plays with different props and does unusual things. The actor even made his co-star Parineeti dance to some of his madly improvised steps!"

Says Ranveer, "Ganesh sir was too sweet to let me do my thing for Sweeta. They are not steps as such. I am just having fun in the song. There was no nervous energy; only excitement all throughout."

Ganesh Acharya says, "The best part about shooting Sweeta was that we gave Ranveer Singh full freedom in the song. There is no choreography or a signature move as such. But he has done masti and at the same time brought the romantic feel to it."

Sweeta had Ranveer Singh written all over it what with his adorable antics, that never dying enthusiasm of his and his boundless energy,I think Ganesh ji did right to hand over the reigns of the song to him, which made it all the more peppy! Initially I didn't like the song much but now its grown on me :D
