I love Abhimaan and you are right Jaya completely overshadowed Amitabh. As much as i dislike her now , i have to agree that she is one solid actress and there are a good number of her movies which are worth watching with brilliant performance.

Lol these box office analysis turn out to be double edged sword. It help them for building strong brand, simultaneously expose all weakness. At least through media Actress like Ash always create illusion that they are most successful and top actress. But reality turnout something different, baring few good movies most of them are flop. I think somewhere her miss world title and fair skin always helped her in big way to sustain so long. Now there is a competition who is better flop queen. 😆

Abhimaan and Silsila are what most have watched. But the real treasure lies in Uphaar, Koshish, Mili, Guddi, Naukar, Shor and Parichay.

All those who have never watched her please watch the above movies...she is truly one of the best actresses we ever had.

rekha was the best thing in silsila. sisila was a medicore movie, but its romance of rekha and amit with great locations made movie watchable. it was sad to see how yash gave jaya a very poorley written role to play. and one could see her suffocating there. there are scenes in the movie which were completly taken from blockbuster sangam.
