Either way, it is very tacky to talk about losing virginity. No need to glorify or glamorize something as personal as this.

Why is this resurfacing again, didn't this revelation come out a year ago during Lootera/just before RL promotions. He said the girl was 2 years older than him or something like that and he developed early.

I am usually pretty liberal about sex. However, it is a very disturbing trend when underage kids are having sex. Sometimes due to lack of supervision, lack of knowing better children do make mistakes. I don't mind the admission that you lost your virginity at a young age. What I have a problem is bragging about it as an accomplishment or a great feat. It sends the wrong message to kids who want to emulate you. This should be treated as a mistake. Regret the fact that you had sex before you could understand it socially or emotionally. Emphasize safety and well-being rather than curiosity and adventure.

I don't remember exactly who, but a couple of years ago a few western artistes bragged about having sex at a young age just like Ranbir-Ranveer are doing in India. One of them bragged about having sex with an older women when still a teen. There was quite an outrage about it in some circles.

This bragging of being a stud is a dangerous precedent for young boys. It makes them seek sexual experience well before their maturity, making them vulnerable to abuse and predatory behavior. Many don't enjoy it and are emotionally traumatized. Yet, because this sexual experience makes them a stud, popular with their peers, they pass it on as a great accomplishment. If someone admits to feeling used, broken or dirty - he is ostracized - his peers don't see him as man enough to have sex. A lot of this can have long lasting negative effects on their sexual and social life well into adulthood.

Ranbir -Ranveer may think this is a joke - but underage sex is actually far more dangerous for boys because they scientifically mature both biologically and emotionally much later than women.
