Tusshar, who was a certainty for 'Agar' since quite some time, will play a boy who is jilted in love. Shreyas plays the psychiatrist who rehabilitates him. Says Shreyas, "I am very charged about 'Agar'. It sounds very pacy and crisp. To play a psychiatrist will not be too difficult since my wife Deepti is a clinical psychologist." Deepti practices in Lokhandwala. Tusshar offers, "I took just two hours to say yes. 'Agar' is very Hitchcockian type of film. I am going to enjoy it, no agars about 'Agar'." Both Tusshar and Shreyas will sport new looks in 'Agar'. They have given bulk dates in November and December for the film to be shot in India, followed by a schedule in either Bangkok or Singapore. Himesh Reshammiya, who gave 'Aksar' the chartbuster 'Jhalak Dikhla Ja', will be in charge of music. Says Mahadevan, "Himesh is ready for 'Agar' with something that will be a bigger rage than Jhalak Dikhla Ja. He has something magical for me." 'Agar' is a suspense film woven around intriguing relationships. When Shreyas, who debuted with the low-budget 'Iqbal', first heard the script of 'Agar', he told Mahadevan it was as if he was sitting in the theatre munching popcorn. "He said that if this was commercial cinema, then he definitely wanted to do it," Mahadevan raves. The director says that the film has a devious ending. Four girls are required for the film. Of these, one will play the pivotal role. "We are talking to many girls, but it would be unfair to disclose their names at this point," says the director. If all had gone well, Tusshar and not Shahid Kapoor would have been the lead in Mahadevan's 'Dil Maange More'. DMM was earlier supposed to be produced by Farida Jalal and Metalite, but when the project changed hands, Shahid landed in Tusshar's shoes. "Consequently, DMM had been pushed up by two years. Earlier, Tusshar was the ideal choice for DMM because then it would have come soon after 'Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai'. But by the time I put the project on floors, Tusshar's image had changed," says the director, who is now looking forward to working with Tusshar. Tusshar has also expressed a desire to be a part of the trilogy suspense film with Bajaj, 'Anjaam'. "'Anjaam' will begin in April," the director reveals. The news is that Tusshar has recently signed Priyadarshan's new film for Percept Picture Company. His other projects include Subhash Ghai's 'Good Boy, Bad Boy', Sanjay Gupta's 'Shoot out at Lokhandwala' and N R Pachisia's 'Kya Love Story Hai'. On the other hand, Shreyas has Nagesh Kukunoor's 'Dor', Subhash Ghai's 'Apna Sapna Money Money' and 'Main Phir Aaunga' (based on a book The Last Hurrah by Srikant Murthy). Mahadevan has still not finalized the casting for the remake of 'Victoria No 203', to be produced by Kamal Sadanah. We had heard Paresh Rawal was playing Ashok Kumar's role, Om Puri would be in Pran's role and Tusshar Kapoor in Navin Nischal's role. We then heard Irrfan Khan and Kay Kay were part of the project. Anant brushes it off, saying, "Nothing is official as yet. We are still debating. The final cast will just be out of the box is all that I want to say on this, now." | ||
