@ VanBuuren
U don't find anything wrong in that what TOI did really ? 😲 That was a cheap thing done by TOI. To show that thing in public and using as a news to get hits on they site is just cheap n gross. 🤢

its total waste of time...
privacy is a different thing altogether...it was more related to her body...

If I owned a paper I would never resort to these tactics.

But what TOI did is cashing on the skin shown by Deepika, they did not breach her private moment. What she showed to all and sundry at the event, they showed to the world under a sensationalistic headline.

I am amused by Deepika's sheer hypocrisy, nothing elsle.

Good Deepika stood up for herself against such a silly article BUT the overreaction going on is hilarious, NOT JUST DEEPIKA HAS BEEN TARGETTED, all actresses cleave and worse their panties have been made to huge headlines on several newspapers.
Several actresses has talked about in interviews but I guess DP is the only one who talked about it on twitter, hope these kind of articles stops but i don't think they will sadly.

Let's see if all of those who are supporting Deepika's stand here will stop posting the "OMG see this and that actresses cleavage/panties.. is visible" topics 😛

Good that DP said something back to TOI but like Van Burren I do think it was perfect timing of her movie release which prompted her to reply to them. This isn't the first time someone has pointed out her cleavage or underwear (which was worse) etc. But it is the first time she has tweeted something. I also think she is in a position now to give it back to these kind of publications and good for her to say something against it.

Also we are lauding DP and loathing the publication but had it been a B+ or C grade actresses who flashed their panty or cleavage and said something against the media, we would say that it was a publicity stunt. Our opinions change when it is some A+ actress in question.

But whatever it is, Deepika has now become really confident which I like. Before she was a bit shy/unsure in front of media. Now she is in that position in this industry that she is calling all the shots and saying mostly admirable things in front of camera.😆

It was a cheap article and she did the right thing by calling them out. If only she had the same view when it happens to others rather than saying they need to be careful. ;)

More than DP the reaction of some of the members on here is hilarious.

Not just TOI, almost every media outlet has been doing this forever. And not a single post they made about it until DP tweeted about it. Oh yeah, they must have never been to those sites.

Even more hilarious is that the worse objectification is done right here on India-Forums, just check some of the earlier threads posted here where women are objectified to the core and they enjoy mocking and taking pleasure out of those pics.

But when Deepika posts about it, suddenly the dead feminist in them comes alive. A grade hypocrites.

That is YOUR interpretation of MY logic.

Had someone teased her, she would have had the right to call that person out and shame him. But this isn't the case. She came to launch a public event, and she displayed ample cleavage. What did she think flash bulbs will click? Her face alone? She has been in this industry for nearly a decade, she isn't juvenile. She very well knows the repercussions.

And the pic posted isn't some unflattering angle either. So why the uproar.

@Bold: That is laughable. She has done a lot more onscreen that would titillate those "few perverts" you're talking about. This pic is nothing.

a woman can wear anything she wants , even a prostitute has the right to say no in the same way even dp has the right to say something if she felt something wasn't appropriate n if TOI feels they can do watever they want bcoz dp wears those dresses or bcoz she is a heroine then they should stop empowerment of woman n also should stop saying y rapes happen as at the end of the day just for publicity they post anything
