Finding Fanny had a decent occupancy on the opening day. The film which is an English drama starring Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur and Dimple Kapadia in lead roles is certainly directed at the multiplex audience! And hence, the film has a low screen count in single screens theaters.

The film opened to 40-45 percent, while the evening and night shows are fast filling! The response to both Hindi and English versions are unanimously positive!

With a release in 900 screens, the film has had a decent opening in the morning shows in Mumbai and Delhi. This film is expected to have a major business only coming from the metros since the film is not a regular film and considering it is in English/Konkani language.

Producer Dinesh Vijan says, "We are overwhelmed with response Finding Fanny is getting. The reviews are fantastic and we've opening well this morning, the evening shows are all also filling up. We are very thankful for support the film has got from the industry. We are looking at a good first day and hopefully a fantastic week end."

The evening and late evening shows are expected to experience a rise on footfalls as the film creates more buzz with its reviews. Due to an amazing star cast, Finding Fanny will certainly benefit from their star values.

I read a lot of reviews on the movie and was really excited to watch it. As I'm typing, the movie is playing in the back ground. The movie promised humor and good performance, nor one but all. I think I'm near the end now and I don't recall laughing once. The movie makes no sense whatsoever. I would not recommend this movie to anyone.

Umm...Think the makers were going for critical acclaim as opposed to ATBB status. As long as they don't incur a huge loss, everything seems to be going hunky-dory for them, as of right now.

Mary Kom
Priyanka Chopra's Mary Kom has successfully completed its first week on the box office. However, despite good word of mouth and countrywide appreciation, the film failed to get the cash registers ringing.

According to Koimoi, Mary Kom now stands at Rs 46 crores on the domestic box office.

While it will probably cross the Rs 50 crore mark during the weekend, its run is now challenged by big releases like Finding Fanny and Creature 3D.

Has anyone here seen the Hindi version? Is it as good as the original English one or does it lose its charm? I'm going with some family friends and they want to watch the Hindi one. :-I
