I'll do since the Multiplex boom in 2006. Classics as in the movies I'd recommend people to watch. I mayn't remember all, but here's a few:

2006
- Malamaal Weekly
- Khosla Ka Ghosla
- Omkara

2007
- Namastey London
- Chak De India
- Jab We Met
- No Smoking
- TZP

2008
- A Wednesday
- Aamir

2009
- Rocket Singh

2010
- Dabbang
- Guzaarish
- Udaan
- Paan Singh Tomar

2011
- Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster

2012
- Kahaani
- Shanghai
- Talaash
- English Vinglish
- OMG

2013
- Lootera

2014
- Lunchbox
- Queen

Italicized is my personal fav of the year.

My fav movie from 2010-2014 is Dabanng

I guess other films were nice too

I did enjoy Barfi but the controversy that surrounded it will always remain lol 😆 😆

Infact if someone says hey what is this film Barfi ???

I'll Say to understand Barfi you must first understand Charlie Chaplin 😛

From the timeline you have given, my picks (from the movies I have seen) : KPC, Kahaani, Barfi, Queen, TDP, Paan Singh Tomar, Talaash and Dabbang. This year probably PK will join the list. There are probably more in this list, but these are coming to my mind right now.

Unpopular choices- Rockstar, SDR, Raanjhana. (I know many people on this forum disliked them, but I liked them, they were different from the usual stuff BW churns out and I like the thought and concept behind them, even if the movies themselves were not without flaws.)

From the movies I have not seen but have heard a lot from reliable people that they were good: Special 26, GOW1 and 2, OMG, English Vinglish, Ship of Theseus (apparently it has something to do with organ donation), Bombay Talkies, BMB, Baalak Paalak (marathi movie).

I think it is too early to call. When we are in 2020 and majority remembers these movies fondly, then they will be a classic.
