Quality wise YJHD is no where close to Lootera..But its a movie this generation celebrated like a KKHH or MPK.I will remember YJHD more for the wholesome crazy fun I experienced while watching the movie with my besties at theatres than for the movie's storyline or cast itself..Lamhe is considered a timeless classic now though it failed at B.O when it released. But even a KKHH is deemed as a classic in real world by many...I dont think the movie had any path breaking content...the execution was new but the romance was again run-of-the-mill with the main triangle being very similar to DTPH which came 2 yrs before KKHH.Movie critics would never regard YJHD as a classic romance like Lootera but not sure about normal audience.

Classics IMO are the films that changed something, are just plain good one and ones with repeat value . They don't necessarily have to be the same. 😉
Barfi
Lootera
Lagaan
3 Idiots
WUS
Dil Chatha Hain
Yeh Jawani Hain Diwani
BBB
Chak De India
ETT
JWM

are a few that will be future classics IMO

Its just a simple question that what will you recommend the younger generation to watch in the coming years if you need to tell them?

It doesn't matter even its a flop, trashed, or how good or bad the WOM was or the BO collections.
Simply what you feel you will remember after 10 years, your personal opinion.

From the timeline- 2011, 2012,2013 and 2014.

Dabanng will be a classic IMO since it changed the way Bollywood action movies are made. A real game changer.
