Singham Returns is set to Roar Big Time at box office as it has got lions share of screen space for 15th August, the Opening Friday. Final allocation is still going on, but in all likelihood film is set to get screen count of 3500-3600 screens in India which is huge. Film has got one of the biggest release in recent times and definitely the biggest of Ajay Devgn. Thus, it has impacted big time screening of Entertainment and Kick. Entertainment is set to retain screens of around 800-850 screens for second week that is 75% less than its 1st week. As for Kick its screening is estimated 175-200 for 15th August (4th week), which is again around 75-80% less than 3rd week.
Singham Returns screening in Mumbai is huge which is on par with Kick. There film is set to take Bumper Opening. As tomorrow is 15th August, film should open well across all parts of India.
Singham Returns is sequel to Singham which was a huge success. Film is again directed by Blockbuster director Rohit Shetty who have given many Hits in past with Ajay Devgn. Film also stars their lucky charm Kareena Kapoor Khan. Trade is expecting Singham Returns to zoom past 100 crore nett in India alone. Question is how much film can collect after that to become big success at box office.
Likely Screen Count for 15th August, 2014-
Singham Returns- 3500-3600
Entertainment- 800-850
Kick- 175-200

Box Office Prediction: Singham Returns All Set To Enjoy A 4 Days Long Weekend

The day has finally arrived. Three years after Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty roared with Singham, they are back with the sequel to the film. An action entertainer, it has pretty much managed to fetch a cult outing for itself over the years with grown-ups as well as kids loving the kind of antics on display. This pretty much makes this sequel all the more interesting.

Moreover, there is Kareena Kapoor Khan adding to the star quotient as well. This isn't all as the release timing is just perfect too, what with the Independence Day holiday followed by Janmashtami on Monday resulting in a four day long weekend for the film.

All of this means that Singham Returns is set to take a very good start at the box office and then bring on moolah on a continued basis well into the weekdays too. The film is expected to take a good start across the country and while multiplexes should warm up as the weekend progresses, single screens are set to be on fire right from the word go.

Yes, the songs haven't covered any distance whatsoever while response to the promo too isn't as mind boggling as it was for Singham, leave aside Chennai Express, which was on a different level, scale and setting altogether. Still, all these factors hardly make a difference when a film by itself is awaited to such an extent by the audience.

On its release, Singham had fetched 30 crore in its opening weekend and then 50 crore at the end of Week One. Now unless the content is a spoiler (which doesn't seem to be the case), Singham Returns should comfortably bring in 50 crore during the first four days itself, if not between Friday and Sunday. While 100 crore is a given for the film (there isn't much competition in week to follow either), it would be interesting to see how far does the film go from that point on to become Ajay Devgn's highest grosser ever.

Singham Returns To Get Benefit Of Independence Day

Singham Returns will get the benefit of Independence Day on day one which is one of the best days of the year for box office collections. This should help it put up a big total on the first day. The real test will begin on Saturday

Singham released in 2011 did very well but the business was very lopsided with almost 50% business came from Mumbai circuit as the film saw huge appreciation in Maharashtra and Gujarat but it was a different story at many other places as appreciation was not there .

Delhi city, East Punjab and West Bengal were poor while UP had average business. The first day holiday will help to an extent in these areas but the key to a big total will be how these areas perform from Saturday onwards. Mumbai, CP Berar and Marathwada side of Nizam circuit are sure shots for the film due to local content. If North India performs for this film it will put up a big number. The film is an action film and has a grander look than the first one and that coupled with the momentum it will have from the holiday gives it a chance to score well in North and Bengal.

Will Singham Returns Be Ajay Devgn's Fastest Entrant In The 100 Crore Club?

While actors may claim that they steer clear of the number game and are not keen on the business aspect of their films, the box office is ultimately what decides the star power. With the current trend of films grabbing business in the 100 crore and 200 crore league we wondered how will Ajay Devgn's upcoming releaseSingham Returns fare and does it have the potential to be Ajay's fastest run at the coveted 100 crore club?

So far, looking at the performance of Ajay Devgn films, the actor already has four films in the 100 crore club such as Singham, Golmaal 3, Son of Sardaar and Bol Bachchan. Interestingly 3 of them have been directed by Rohit Shetty and that makes it quite clear that the actor-director duo are a killer combo when it comes churning out superhits.

While the first entrant for Ajay Devgn into the 100 crore banner was Golmaal 3, post this too his Singhamcrossed the 100 crore barrier in 37 days and his fastest entrant until now is Son Of Sardaar, which managed to achieve the feat in 16 days.

Now that the sequel to Singham is up for release, there is a good chance that Ajay may speed up his way to collect the desirable figure even sooner. Releasing on the 15th of August, the film will be cashing in on the holiday and the long weekend followed by it. This commercial potboiler is expected to have a good opening and may even give Ajay his highest opening day collections.

Possibilities seem ripe for this drama and based on the premise of having a bumper opening, it has high chances of pulling off a 60 crore+ weekend. If the film maintains this high stride over its first week, a 100 crore in 7 days will be the dream collection for Singham Returns.

Highly dependent on the quality of content and whether it strikes the right nerve with the audiences, the film may even be able to cross 150 crores lifetime collection which will be the highest ever for an Ajay Degn film.

Outside Mumbai/Gujrat/Maharashtra if this movie clicks with audience, then this will be touching 200 cr for sure, Ajay's 1st ... Bebo's 2nd without any Khan 😛
