Nice discussion guys 👍🏼. hardcore supporters of Khans and hardcore supporters of new stars... views from both sides are compelling.
Don't forget to predict 4-5 people who are here to stay or become big in ur replies..

Nobody will replace Khans.. Please don't take the word literally. It's more about who will be the next top 5. I personally believe there will be top 5 actors for decades to come. It happens.

I remember my parents bringing two things from India when we vacationed. Masalas and Movies (VHS) 😆. We even had to convert them to play them in the US and had a huge collection growing up.

IMO the Khans are the last generation of stars to get the kind of loyalty from fans by which I mean they pestered parents to take them to the cinema, bought magazines for pictures and interviews, stood in line and bought CDs and tapes of movie songs, VHS tapes and then DVDs. Those were the times.

Now every song is available on You Tube for promo, a few clicks and you read an interview, there is a gif for everything and you can watch a movie the second day for free if you are persistent from the comfort of your own house. 😉

In that scenario, I think there will not be superstars like the Khans in the future not because no one is capable, but a generational shift has happened and the way people consume movies has changed. Now a tween can tweet an SRK or Salman, growing up I would have fainted if I had that opportunity..😳 😆. There are no superstars in HW now, not like Tom Cruise was. So everything does change.

I however do think Ranbir and Ranveer will stick around longest. Beyond that I have no clue.

I don't think anyone will be able to replace the Khans, but after another decade or so their maybe be someone else on top, but hey will never be what the Khans are.

I think we'll have superstars, but will move into a new era where it'll be a mix of stardom plus content that makes films work. I think HR is new generation superstar like that.

Also industry is growing at a rabid pace and who knows the kind of budget they will have after 10 years. It opens up a lot of opportunities and we could try different genres.

yes, i do believe so ..at least mainstream wise.. Khans will have lost millions of old fans by death and the young guys would know more about newbies than khans by then. that's how change is unstoppable

I agree, I hope the next gen superstars brings quality on board along with stardom, stardom shouldn't confine u to do the usual safe crap but give u the wings to experiment with roles and do quality work, among the Khans only Aamir has done the balancing act other 2 are caught up in their web of stardom.

Ranbir has already proved his mettle with both massy flicks as well as trying out new, different films and both did well @ BO ... Ranveer too has succeeded to an extent hope the up&coming actors take a cue from these 2 ...
