Because the era of stardom is waning in India. It's more about branding, packaging, directors, and stories more than stars/actors now. The Khans are a dying breed. Since the Khans debuted in the late 80s and early 90s, there's only been only three true superstars after them: Akshay, Hrithik, and Ranbir. And, only of the three - Hrithik - has been anywhere near to a Khan.

So, nobody will replace them. In 10 years time, fans will follow directors more than actors. The Khans are the most unique properties of Bollywood history and it'll remain that way.

you are right. But see it this way... In hollywood, there are hundreds of actors but leo dicaprio, tom cruise, brad pitt, johny depp and few more are constantly in news and are big. So, the thread wants to know whom do u think will be those top ones in future.

I kinda agree with the article. Rk & Rs is quite predictable. But Im happy they choose varun, I guess slow & steady wins the race applies for varun.
So my pick - Rk, Rs & VD👍🏼

Again the ones who dislike Sid are the ones most concerned about his future 😆.Chill guys! even none of his fans have claimed he is going to be some big Superstar..We have never called him future SRK or future Salman like many other fandoms do with respect to their favs..I am sure even Sid himself doesnt have such high expectations about his career..We just want him to have a consistent long career with some good movies to his credit...I love Rishi Kapoor,Shashi Kapoor,Anil Kapoor,Saif Ali Khan..Has any of them ever be hailed as Superstars? Doesnt mean they earn less respect from the industry or are unknown to audience.Earning love from the viewers and having a succesful career will be enough for Sid and his fans..We are sensible enough to superstardom can only be attained by 3-4 ppl in millions 😛..And this Rahul Roy argument is so passe 😆..His career graph scaling 3 movies,fanbase,hype,endorsements,future projects are proof enough for that..Par teek hai w/e floats ur boat!

Coming to the article,I think Ranbir is more interesting,charismatic and energetic than Aamir as a star..There have been no SRK and Salman replacements till now...Ranveer reminds me of Akshay more.
Overall I agree with KareenaFanatic...Age of superstardom is over..Khans are the last ones of the lot to enjoy the same...New stars would be popular but they can never create mass hysteria of AB Sr or SRK or Salman...Ranbir arguably the best actor and most popular one among the newbies have completed 7yrs in the industry but yet to challenge the B.O record of Khans or Hrithik even,..Regardless imo the actors who have potential to survive the longest among newer lot are (this is keeping aside all my bias) -Ranbir,Ranveer,Varun and Sid.Arjun is in for the long haul but he is lagging behind in popularity scale for now..Might change in future.

PS:Just noticed that every era had atleast one super handsome superstar who pawned others in looks dept but was criticized for acting skills during initial phases of their career ..hmm nice 😛😆

I don't see any of the newcomers acheiving a fan following like the khan's! idk that's what I feel :P
