Yes, his last film did thumping business. It was not only a money spinner, it was also liked by the audience as well as critics. So judging by his last film's business, this filmmaker expected every corporate house to ask him to team up with them for his next venture.
Alas, that's not happening! He did announce his next but no one came forward. Reason: the numbers just don't seem to add up. In other words, the kind of money he plans to spend on the film and also the money he's expecting the corporate house to invest appears difficult to recover. Will this filmmaker bring down the cost or go it alone?
------------------------------------
All is not well with this movie that is under production. All the kinks seem to have been sorted once the film went on the floors and apparently the leading man was thrilled with the venture. But things have since changed between the actor and the unit members.
Since the leading man is so involved with the film, he constantly wants to improve. As a result, he's been calling up the assistant directors after midnight and asking them to meet so that he can share his brilliant ideas!
Initially, the unit was co-operative but now they're mighty miffed. We hope the leading man understands that too much interference will harm the movie.
PS: The film is about a film director facing writer's block and is inspired by an Italian classic.
