He's not even being diplomatic here. He straight up says it like it is.

"My consent depended on how this film performed. Now, obviously I'm not going to doing a second film with Sajid," he stated, without mincing his words.

What exactly are we criticizing Saif for? He's well aware of and ADMITTING everything you all are saying on this forum.
All he's saying is all inclusive, it was still a mistake.

Would he be saying if Humshakals would have loved by Audience / or would have been big hit? NO. All this confessions coming after the film is out is plain stupidity. Ok, you felt doing humshakals was a mistake, but who r u 2 say u won't do a film with Sajid? Last time i checked, you are also not having any BlockBuster record for which u feeling working with Sajid will affect ur career.

Of course not. He straight up said he did the film for BO only. If it had worked, then it wouldn't have been a mistake.

So how is that stupid? I do something for rewards, I invest. It fails. That was a mistake. If it had worked, it wouldn't have been mistake coz I got what I wanted.

From the beginning he maintained that Sajid Khan comedies work with audiences and one Himmatwala doesn't mean anything coz even he's had an Agent Vinod.

So he personally gave him another shot. And it still failed for him, so he doesn't like the content AND it doesn't work. It was a mistake. BAD FILM CHOICE, even if the purpose was hit.

Humshakals was totally out of Saif's comfort zone and I know he knew that as well as the fact that it had no script. Saif isn't as dumb as Kareena. He knows how to choose films. He did the film because he thought it was guaranteed to set the cash registers ringing. And now he didn't even get that so he's turning his back on it. Irrespective of that, I liked this interview, he's honesty is refreshing to me and he doesn't sound like an ass while Ajay on the other hand blatantly called Sajid a fool.😆

I think he might still have said he did it for the masala factor. I mean Race 2 earned money but Saif doesn't hold that film in high regards either. 😆

Bingo.

He basically straight up said I did the film coz I thought it would work, and not coz I believed in it. There was even an interview when Humshakals was in the making about who Saif said certain scenes in the movie made him uncomfortable, but he surrendered to Sajid.

That's the first time i"ve heard him say that. He says he wanted to get outside his comfort zone and decided he'll just do what Sajid Khan told him.

Another point.

Race 2 was a successful film but he still calls a spade a spade and said the film wasn't the brightest and Sara thought it was ridiculous.
