Kajol comes from two generations of broken families. Her grandmother and her mother are divorced / separated. Kajol did not grow up with her parents, she spent a lot of time with her grandmother as her mom was working and did not have a great relationship with her dad.

I am no psychologist, but it is clear to see she values family a lot and is trying to re-create the childhood she never had for her kids. She quit her career in her 20s to get married and have a kid, especially after a huge hit like DDLJ. Who does that ? She clearly has put her career second, her kids come first no question. She lives in a joint family by choice. Karishma hardly lived in Delhi, so I do think different outlook. All I speculate Kajol did to give her kids the kind of security and 'family' she never had and probably craved. That is why IMO she also stopped working even though she says her mom-in-law is great with the kids, she is the primary care giver for her kids, not like her grandmom was for her.

I certainly don't give props to Ajay as a husband, but as a dad he comes across as a great one. Perhaps for all those reasons she chooses to look the other way. Her choice to be a passive wife is not something I like about her, but I have followed her for years and I do think I understand why she made the choice she did. I may not agree, but I do respect her for trying to create the childhood she never had for her kids.

I do respect Karishma too for taking a stand and giving her kids what she thinks is important. Both of them came from broken homes and both have chosen to deal with their lives different. They both are great mothers though and that is one of the things I love most about them.

As for KJo he has no business discussing this with both of them in a talk show.

But I think what kajol is doing. Is wrong. I know she love her kids a lot and want them to be happy and have a good child hood. And probably ajay is a great dad.

But is he a great husband? From what I know, the answer is no. Marriage is important and one should try to maintain it well, but both husband and wife should try. Only then the relationship will be healthy. There is no use of living in abusive relationship. Cheating is worst thing a man does. How hard it must be for her to live with a person who had million affairs. That's disgusting and kajol should not tolerate that, because when her kids will grow up and when they will find out about all this, they will be dissapointed too.

She loves her family and she wants to keep them together but she also knows that her husband is not worth it. So she shouldn't live with him. She should take a stand just like karishma did. And believe me she deserved much better than someone like ajay.

I absolutely agree 100% with you, Kajol deserves better than Ajay. She is my favorite actress and it is sad to see what she has become and I don't like it at all. But at the same time it is her life and her choice and though I do not like or support it, I cannot help but admire her what she is doing for her kids. She is a doormat wife, but an awesome mom and she seems to be doing it for her kids IMO, one of the most noble things ever. I can't fault her for that. Reason I admire Jaya Bachchan a lot too.

Yes she can go for a divorce...but its her choice at the end of the day...maybe Ajay is a great Dad and maybe he treats Kajol really well just out of guilt...Who knows ...what is happening...But looking at Kajol's two adorable kids...I think its all worth it.
